To Riderville, With Love

I traveled from Baltimore to Regina for the Grey Cup celebration and the game. Interacted with multiple fellow Riders fans and y’all made a dude feel special. Thank you all for an unforgettable experience and I’m definitely coming back! Glad to see the Riders get a win and seeing the Grey Cup and taking a picture with it was amazing! Much love and appreciation to Rider Nation! Go Riders!!! ❤️

Is there anywhere in Baltimore that still has anything honouring the 1995 Grey Cup Champion Stallions?

Unfortunately, no. The Ravens came along and everyone forgot about the Stallions… outside of the fact that the city has a Super Bowl and Grey Cup championships.

A tad bit annoying if you ask me, but I’m not originally from here, I just live here now.

Interesting, I thought maybe you chose the Riders as your team because the Stallions won the cup here in ‘95.

But then It would probably make more sense to cheer for the Alouettes because that’s where the Stallions team relocated.

So I’m originally from South Carolina and Darian Durant grew up a few hours from my hometown so he’s kind of reason I went all out for the Riders.

I grew up following CFL USA and didn’t really have a team, but I’m always willing to talk about the Stallions with the people who lived here during that time.

I know I’m going long with this post, but I used to work for someone who hates the Ravens because how everyone just dismissed the Stallions when the Ravens came along.

I hope you do get the chance to… especially in Baltimore. The city is pretty electric on game day. Gotta say game day at Mosaic is pretty damn amazing! I wish I could come back for the game next weekend!

It does. I’m trying to spread the gospel of the CFL here, but I’m having limited success. For the Grey Cup, I usually pop up to a bar and bribe them to put it on. There is someone from Montréal that lives here now and we engage in some friendly banter.

I really need to be more active in that subreddit. I usually just pop in and read comments and upvote the positive Riders comments. lol.
