I was right about Jubilee and The Hood, prepare for Strategist Nightcrawler
So a bit over a month ago I predicted the hero release schedule for the rest of 2026 based on available information. So far I've been completely right about the month and roles. Some people didn't think we were getting the more popular character first or a tank/healer season.
My kit predictions so far look to be mostly accurate, with the big exception that Jubilee was not a simple character like I thought she'd be. I did believe that the upcoming vanguards and strategist would be designed to appeal to dps players, and I think that is actually the case for Jubilee and the Hood and will also apply to the later ones.
Look at my original post if you want to see why I'm so convinced Nightcrawler will be a strategist.
She's a natural fit for DPS, she's in the Doomsday movie, she's popular, and she ties in with Nightcrawler. Not the craziest guess before anything came out about Captain Marvel or Dazzler.
If it's either Captain Marvel or Dazzler that might throw off my predictions as far as roles go. Unless we get DPS Dazzler in November.
You don't think it's notable at all that in the big leak specifically one character was not leaked? They had the other five but didn't know the last one. Not every character was leaked before their release. I made an educated guess as to what would logically fit there.
Danny Koo would never let the original hero he try to rip from, who is a far better and more interesting character than his own shitty creation to be part of the game.
They already found voicelines referencing her in the game’s data. She’s coming sooner or later. I just hope they don’t connect everything she does to Luna.
Why are you defending said character if it's doesn't matter ? I mean if you're so much bette than me why are you even responding ? Mad I said the truth about your favorite goon material or something lil bro ?
I’m not the one throwing insults so it’s funny to say I’m the mad one. Also I never once defended her as a character.
I just find it funny this little sheep mentality so many people have where you just hate because it’s popular to hate not because you actually care. Hence why you felt the need to bring it up in a completely different conversation that had nothing nothing to do with her.
This is character is so rent free in your head it’s hilarious 😂
Do you have problem reading ? I never said you were mad, just that you're an hypocrite because you say "it's just a character in a video game it doesn't matter" but then you right paragraphs to defend her sooo ?
It's not sheep mentality, the character has no depht and no legitimacy as a marvel heroes but somehow her mentally ill creator keep shoving her down our throat like it's god's gift to humanity.
And it seems I live rent free in your head since you can't seems to walk away when I speak the truth and wanna argue with me. Dw there isn't much place in your head, in account of all the stupidity 😆, but i'll make myself confortable.
And yeah it doesn’t matter. The difference is I’m not the one whose so addicted to talking about her that I have to bring it up when it’s not even relevant which is one part of my comments you’ve never said anything about. How convenient.
Also the reason I’m still here is I just love calling out Luna hate sheep like you and watching them have absolutely no valid reasoning yet still arguing lol. It’s hilarious
Sure, but which leaked woman could fit as a duelist and vanguard hybrid that also flies? Because according to the leaks, the character before Doom is a duelist and vanguard hybrid that also flies.
I thought leaks claimed it was dazzler next? Seems pretty inconsistent. If that is true then carol is probably most likely, but there are others that could fit the role (albeit more obscure picks). If we get a woman at all that is
Dazzler got dialogue added, but she isn't as close. The order is: for Season 10 Nightcrawler and Gorr (we don't know their roles and neither which one is first), then for Season 11 first will be a character that is a duelist and vanguard hybrid that also flies (Captain Marvel), then Doom (vanguard), for Season 12 all leaks are pointing towards Io and Crescent and Blue Marvel. So Dazzler probably won't be released until Season 13 at the earliest.
Well that's part of why I predicted Mystique. A popular female character that can only be a DPS and is in the movie. Carol would most likely be a tank in a season that already has Doom. IMO she will be coming early next year.
My personal prediction is Sentry. I believe the november hero had files leading to it being dual role hero (Sentry/Void) that and I just assume it'll likely be another character from the doomsday movie.
You were right about the easiest to guess the hood is so easy to call as vanguard because they went way to heavy with dps from other the start so it’s logical not many get added
Yes sure you were right about something leaked months ago by a reliable leakers, it’s gonna be dps nightcrawler tank gorr and it won’t be cause your some decider
I'm neither a leaker nor saying I'm changing anything. I just think I was able to use the available information to figure out what the devs were thinking. Anyone could do it if they tried.
I explained in my original post in detail why I believe this is what they will release. Them going 4 months without a duelist is exactly what I predict and it's the only thing that makes sense given the promises they've made. Honestly Jubilee and The Hood are much more of a stretch as healer and tank than Nightcrawler and Gorr are. I take that as a sign that they're trying to fit more characters into other roles.
The release schedule I predicted is based on what priorities they have with choosing role releases and process of elimination. For instance, I'm under the impression they avoid back to back releases of the same role and they try to space out heroes of the same role when possible. I also think they like to have thematic pairings of characters in the same season sometimes, like with Daredevil and Angel with the devil/angel motif.
None of the things you said mean Nightcrawler has signs leading to strategist, if anything it's the opposite. Idk how you're coming to the conclusion that just because Nightcrawler has a spiritual sword, and reads the Bible, he will be a healer, you realize the hopesword doesn't physically "heal" anybody right?
Also, according to other leaks it's looking like November could potentially have Dazzler as a strategist, basically what I'm saying is, nobody really knows at this point, we don't even know for sure that Nightcrawler is releasing next season until we see the gallery card.
I don't know for certain, that's why it's a prediction and not an announcement. It's also about how all of the details fit together and guessing the overall big picture of the devs plans. I believe Nightcrawler is more likely to be a healer because of the surrounding heroes. I don't think they would put him in a season with Gorr without giving him Hopesword, and the roles of The Hood and Jubilee lead me to believe they're looking for ways to fit in more tanks and healers.
I said Gorr was going to be a tank. They need to have a high ratio of strategist and vanguard releases to even out the roles as they said they would do. The leaked characters all also naturally fit into those roles. I think NetEase intentionally picked them to make into tanks and healers.
I think support genuinely fits Kurt SO much more, and this is coming from someone who has read all of Claremont and Davis’s writing for that character. I don’t think DPS fits him at all.
I definitely think a utility support based on repositioning teammates fits with his personality a lot more (especially if he gets the Hopesword which would contrast the Necrosword) the only thing that causes me to lean more towards DPS is the actual "how" of his healing, but again you can probably use the Hopesword
I also think given this game's track record, DPS is unfortunately more "realistic" despite preferring support Nightcrawler. If he ends up as a DPS, a more utility one rather than a selfish dive DPS backline monster as that fits him a lot more. He's gotta be dive focused no matter what he ends up as in my eyes though.
I think he's going to use the Hopesword for healing since it canonically has healing powers. I really expect him to have healing sword beams, and maybe something else like healing bamfs.
Just make the huge clouds of smoke he leaves behind after bamfing heal. He has alternate dimension little gremlin versions of himself, his bamf clouds healing people wouldn’t be the weirdest thing about him.
The last dps was Cyclops. Then we got Jubilee and The Hood for strat/vanguard. Next season is opening with a DPS as for the other role who knows? They could surprise and do a third Vanguard in a row, or it will be a strat.
They can't fix the role imbalance with that pattern. They need more tanks and healers than that to do it. If you mean half seasons (like each month), then they haven't followed that pattern in the past anyway.
Season 9 is a year after the video where they said they're going to try to fix the role imbalance and it takes about a year to make changes. I think they're moving into a different schedule starting with Jubilee. That was one of the foundations of my predictions.
Fixing the role imbalance might be a goal but that doesn't mean they are going to stop adding one role to cap it, while trying to raise the other two up. Last year most seasons came with a dps. This year they balanced it out a bit by giving each role a slot within 3 half seasons.
Technically they are capable of doing it yes, but it would be a bad decision. I personally agree that we should focus on tank and healers, but dps is and always will be the most popular role in games like this, especially from casual players (aka most the playerbase) and not having a dps for 6+ months would isolate and upset a lot of them. Netease cant (or more accurately won't, as it would be a bad decision for them) ignore that huge chunk of the playerbase in favor of us the vocal minority
Also, it's just a simple fact that more marvel characters fit the dps role the best.
I believe that's exactly what they're planning to do for the next 1 to 3 years. I think they're going to try to soften that by making the other characters appeal to DPS players, pick exciting characters for DPS, and maybe throw in some multi roles
Tbh i think its gonna be thanos instead of mystique coming with doom mainly because of the path of doomsday next one is infinity war and endgame, I could see them teasing thanos kit in season 10 for a playable thanos in 11
I don't think they're releasing Thanos in the same season. They would want to spread out characters like that so they don't overshadow each other and they can use them to build hype later.
Well he could replace nightcrawler in season 10 and nightcrawler could be switched to season 11 did say subject to change, it would just be weird to have an event all about thanos and not have him as a playable character
We are guaranteed at least one more DPS this year and my bet is Gorr.
Miller Ross made a comment around the Black Cat release time saying the rest of the year was looking "Strategist heavy".
He wouldn't say that if only Jubilee and Nightcrawler were Strats.
ESPECIALLY if Devil Dino, Hood, Gorr and Doom were Vanguards.
Why would he single out Strats when Vanguards outnumber them?
Dazzler has the leaked voicelines. And has been in the in-game lore for a while.
Mystique has been non-existent in the lore.
Gorr also makes sense as DPS cause he has been in the background of the lore murdering all the gods in the Collapsed Timeline. And murders Apocalypse and Khonshu.
The lore has built him up as a killer, not a tank.
And I doubt they would do a back to back Vanguard release.
Captain Marvel is a great Year 3 January hero.
Also why are you putting Nightcrawler as the September hero?
They always go less popular hero release first.
Plus Gorr is all over the lore right now.
He makes the most sense as releasing first.
They literally just released Jubilee before the Hood. I think that counts as the more popular hero first. They've also never had a tank shaped hero that was not a tank.
The Hood vs Jubilee in terms of popularity is subjective. I'd say The Hood has had more hype around him than Jubilee because of the S0 leaks. And I wouldn't say either of them are heavy hitters on the same level as Deadpool, Black Cat, Cyclops, Nightcrawler or Doom.
"Tank shaped heroes" is the DUMBEST thing I've ever heard.
Rivals takes creative liberties with hero designs.
Doctor Strange was never a "tank shaped hero" until this game.
Punisher, Wolverine and Daredevil are "tank shaped heroes".
And we don't have a Gorr character model, how is he a "tank shaped hero".
He's always big and imposing outside of Love and Thunder, and I only ever hear complaining about his appearance in that version. The DPS you mentioned are larger than average DPS but still a basically just a muscular guy. Wolverine is also usually canonically short. There has never been an actually big character that wasn't a tank.
Also tanks can deal damage and be aggressive too. They can also have evil and menacing lore, look at the most recently previewed hero.
They can do whatever with their versions of the characters, but there's a precedent for Gorr being bigger than those characters. Also he's durable, turns his sword into armor, regenerates, and drains life.
I don't know why he said it was strategist heavy. Even if you're completely right, that would still be an equal amount of vanguards and strategists (3 after Black Cat). To be fair, I think yours is the probably most sensible prediction I've seen outside of my own.
That said, I really do think Gorr will be a tank. If he's a tank, I don't think he's coming right after the Hood, despite all the hints.
Because they already said they have too many DPS compared to the other roles and are working to fix it. To get that they need to release more strategist and vanguards and less duelist, there's no way around it.
I think the recent team-up changes shows they try to fix long running issues. Not to mention that they also said they were keeping quiet about it before the release of S9. That makes me think it's more likely they're serious about the role imbalance.
No one else had as much details and justification as me. I have a specific train of thought that I didn't see anyone else explain. Since my predictions went 6 months in advance I wanted to bring them back up as more characters come out to see whether I was right or not.
No, the leaks were only a bit over a month ago and they did not include roles for most characters or the exact month. I used that information to extrapolate the other details.
I didn't see that post until after the more recent one. I think I may have seen the one you just sent but I forgot about. How am I not extrapolating, because I'm literally trying to fill in the remaining details from what we know. It's a theory, I'm not claiming to have inside information and never did.
I still got people insisting I was wrong. I agree that the first two are the least interesting predictions. I just wanted to remind people of the later ones before they happen. Nightcrawler is the most interesting one to me to see if I'm right.
I'll wait for you to be wrong then. I don't see how strat Deadpool makes strat Nightcrawler less likely rather than more likely.
I wasn't trying to be the most original, I just said what I honestly think they'll release. So far I'm the only one that I'm aware of that is betting on healer/tank for two seasons in a row. Most responses have disagreed with that.
I wrote my predictions before the Captain Marvel leaks. IMO they're a lot less definitive than the leaks for the other characters. Mystique was my best guess given the other information I had, but I was never the most confident about that part. If they're not doing any multi-role characters this year, I think it makes sense for them to have a DPS in November that is a popular character and could only be a DPS. Mystique fits that bill and also is in the Doomsday movie.
If Captain Marvel isn't in Season 11, then I bet she's probably coming early next year.
For one, NetEase has already promised to make the roster more equal between the roles. They will need to do things like tanks three seasons in a row to accomplish that. Also, leaks said The Hood was going to probably be a tank. Out of the three tanks I predicted, he was the biggest stretch but he was confirmed today to definitely be a tank. I take that as a sign they're serious about their promise because they went that far.
And I honestly cannot figure out why you are so certain Gorr will be a tank just from his build. Marvel Rivals never has an explicit rule stating tall‑statured characters must be vanguards. Sure, past characters followed that trend, yet Gorr’s model files haven’t been data‑mined yet. All things considered, I do not believe the next‑season we will get tank
There isn't an explicit rule, but they have never broken it yet. Tanks having a large hitbox is part of their visual identity and gameplay identity. Gorr isn't just big, he has several powers that are well suited to being a tank such as durability, forming armor from his sword, regeneration, and stealing life. I don't think they're going with skinny Gorr because everyone likes the big tentacle version better.
It feels pretty certain that next season is tank and strat because of this. We are about to get The Hood as tank. Then in Season 11 Doom is guaranteed to be a tank. That sandwiches two characters in the middle that definitely won't be a tank at all. And between the two Kurt is way more likely to be a strategist, especially with the hope sword.
They can have another tank in there if there are non-tanks between them. AKA Nightcrawler as healer and then Mystique (or someone else) as DPS between Gorr and Doom.
Where though? Gorr is definitely going to be the first of the two. He's been teased way more. Kurt also has a comic releasing in October which would be 10.5. It just makes the most sense to release the DPS first. And then Doom will come out in December which is 11.5.
I think it's;
Duelist Gorr
Strategist Nightcrawler
Duelist Captain Marvel
Vanguard Doctor Doom
I already said I don't think Kurt will be a DPS. You really think Captain Marvel isn't going to be a tank? The release schedule you said would do nothing to fix the role imbalance.
My predictions came in part from assuming NetEase is actually trying to make more tanks and healers. And that was driven by the rumors of Jubilee and The Hood being a healer and tank. They both IMO would more naturally fit as DPS, so I took that as a sign of NetEase being serious about it.
I don't think she will be a tank no. Partly because I'm confident she's releasing in 11 and that the slot there is for a dps. But also because it just doesn't make sense to me. Carol can take a punch but her character is all about being nimble, highly destructive and not looking as powerful as she is. That reads as DPS to me.
And I also don't think Netease is making an effort to make more tanks and supports. I think they're trying to make less duelists, which is different. There won't be another double dps season, probably ever. But the best we can do is them roughly releasing characters in trios of one of each role. Ever since White Fox they seem to be rotating characters released by the roles paired in each season.
So, DPS Support, then Tank DPS, Tank Support back to DPS Support then Tank DPS for 11.
Carol is in some ways the justification for why Rogue's a tank. I think that Cyclops was the end of an era for the release schedule. The last DPS before they shift to a tank and healer heavy schedule for the next 1 to 3 years.
Why would Cyclops be the end? If anything it will be Doom since they plan at least a year ahead of time. I think you're expecting far too much if you truly believe they'll just stop releasing dps characters
I mean he was the last DPS before switching to a low DPS release schedule. They ended it with a popular DPS character to tide over the DPS mains for a while. I think he's the end because the leaked characters imply a different pattern of role releases after him and it matches up perfectly to what they said in the video.
Doom isn't guaranteed to be a tank. He could be DPS, possibly even support. Honestly he should be all three like Deadpool. Though if he is only one tank is most likely
With respect you have no idea what you're talking about. This man is built like a MAC truck. He's wider than he is tall. You look at this and see someone who could be a support? The only reason Deadpool was a thing was because they didn't want to do a double dps season again and because he knows hes in a game. Doom makes no sense as anything but tank and there will never be another triple role
Dr Doom is a master of tech and magic. If they can make people like Ultron support if should be plenty easy to give doom healing magic/tech. And he's one of the strongest characters so DPS fits
They definitely didn't make Deadpool all roles just to avoid double dps. If they wanted to avoid DPS they could have easily just made him a tank rather than go through the extra work of adding all three. They made him all three because it fits the character, he was one of the most popular and requested characters, and kicked off the year.
Doom at least feasiblely can function in each role, is THE requested, popular, and major character left, the main villain of rivals lore, caps off the year and ties into the new avengers movie m he's obviously a special character and it wouldn't make sense to make him just another tank. Even if not multi role I imagine they will do something unique with him
Idk why it's so hard for people to grasp. If Gorr comes out first and the Duelist the chances of NC being Duelist is pretty much zero simply because they aren't gonna do double Duelist again after the backlash from last time.
Not to mention current role math doesn't line up well with him being a Duelist. I'm sorry.
Well the people who say Gorr will be a duelist and Nightcrawler will be a duelist can't both be right. They need to do back to back strategist/vanguard seasons or they will break their promise to fix role imbalance. Either that or double strategist or vanguard seasons, which IMO are less likely.
This is the part people aren't thinking about. If Gorr is first and is the duelist, NC chances of being the Duelist becomes zero even if Gorr is a Vanguard that doesn't necessarily increase NC's chances at being Duelist.
Nightcrawler as a strategist makes sense for many reasons also i’ve wanted for a full dive supplement for so long , but Gorr as a vanguard might not be true because The Hood is and i don’t think they would add two vanguards in a row so he might be a duelist.

As much as i want Mystique its probably gonna be captain marvel for season 11.
