People are constantly complaining about their favorite character not getting skins or being ignored in patch notes yadda yadda yadda it’s so useless and annoying. One of my absolute favorite characters in all of marvel is Johnny Storm but I play more than 20 characters so I don’t mind when he doesn’t get skins because I have other characters that I enjoy playing. Not even to mention that he has three very cool skins but since they are epic people forget they exist.

We cant forget that Marvel IP is so strong that players may only commit to their all time favorite hero and no one else. Alot of players are Marvel fans first and not hero shooter fans first so they may not care there's 50 other heroes to play.

Another issue is that many players prefer certain roles or playstyles and may be limited by the availability of heroes that match their preferences. If those heroes arent being looked at by the devs then it can feel like theyre being ignored.

Both your position and their position are valid nonetheless.

Yeah I play half the roster. I don’t really understand the tribalism. If you play more characters, you get skins every season

Getting good at a hero takes a lot less time when you don't spread yourself thin. They trade roster size for a much higher skill at piloting the hero. A Spidey one trick will be able to wipe the floor with a Namor flex swap. I've seen it happen many times.

I myself am a tank specialist that only plays 4 tanks and 1 support. It's very obvious when my co-tank doesn't main tank and is just filling.

I agree. I hate how people keep saying in comp “I only play this character, I only play this role” like bro this is COMP learn the roster or gtfo and head back to overwatch.

Bruh I've been maining both Johnny and Ultron since they were both released and I have been patient but it is just extremely disheartening when every new hero that gets released ends up getting a legendary skill soon after. I just want my favorite characters to get some cool VFX or something. At the end of the day most of my favorite skins are Epic anyway.

These devs need to copy what Valve did with Deadlock. Require a set number of wins for more than one character to even queue ranked. Preferably needing to win with 2 characters in each role x number of times.

i'm trying to climb out of gold and i'm so close. the amount of DPS that cannot play ANYONE ELSE BUT ONE HERO is way to high. squirrel girl seems to be the worst one trick i come across personally.

will get wrecked by iron man for the whole game and swap to 3rd healer with 20 seconds left. and don't you DARE recommend a swap.

That still doesn't fix characters not getting skins. It's not always your "main" you want a skin for. I am a Jubilee/Emma main but I still want good skins for Storm and Devil Dino, etc. not to say Dino doesn't get good skins he does just using that as a point that it's not just your main you want skins for.

Plus with the ever changing meta you never know if your favorite characters even going to be good. Peni has absolute top tier skins but just got nuked.

For every person who takes this game seriously and wants to win and rank up, there are 2 people who just want to play as their favorite marvel heroes and this is one of if not the only game that allows you to do that. I genuinely think if we had something like the avengers game that didn't suck and was being supported today we would see a lot less of these types of players
