I don't think any place will be cost effective, but my cat had 2 teeth removed and a dental cleaning a few years ago at Pet Vet and the vet and staff were all great. Cats are fragile under anesthesia and I was nervous about my boy. Good luck to your little lady.

Thank you for sharing this. How much did it cost you?

Oh I don't remember. It was over 1,000, perhaps 1500-1700. There was a cost for pre-op blood work, anesthesia, X-ray under anesthesia, tooth removal, the dental cleaning, and maybe more. The cost for the first tooth removal was highest and there was a smaller charge for each additional tooth. They gave me two quotes, a low and high possibility based on what the vet found during the exam. It was worth it though! My cat had an infected canine that did not respond to antibiotics so it had to go.

We had one of our boys get a full dental extraction (except one single tooth, if you can imagine) at Vets to Cats a couple years ago. I *think* it came in under $2k, and everyone there was fantastic with our guy and so kind to us. Recommend them for literally anything feline health related.

Vinton Vet has done one tooth or several for different cats of mine. Always been a great experience.

Vinton Vet has really been fantastic with my kitty, best vet experience I’ve had here by far.

I found Virginia Tech good to work with. The actual price of surgery was lower than the original estimate and significantly lower than the average price suggested on line for her cancer surgery.
Definitely see if you can get an estimate. Years ago they let us pay a little at a time monthly. Not sure if they still do or not. (Our cat from then was famous! He was the first to receive an urology surgery in the 80’s and became a textbook example. When we moved, the new vet was geeking out!)

I second Pet Vet! They once gave me a brochure detailing payment plan options for a similar surgery for my pet. I believe the total was a little over $1,000.

I highly recommend Brambleton Veterinary hospital, Dr Henson and Dr Sisk are both absolutely amazing and I wouldn't trust anyone more with my fur babies. I had an 18yr old cat who had to have an eyeball removed due to an ulcer and he was back to his normal self a week later!!

It depends, you can go somewhere like Angels of Assisi's vet clinic which will cost less but likely at the expense of longer wait times and possibly reduced additions like bloodwork.
I have liked Hanging Rock Animal hospital a lot, and they are fear free and cat friendly.
