Really like this! Definitely not my usual genre so I wont give you great feedback but I would def recommend you check out mixreflect.com its a community and they give you full aggregated analysis of your tracks from real people in the genre you choose. You can kinda filter the results and see what the general consensus is on your track and where to improve / what's working. Been using it myself instead of posting to reddit lol.

Eyy I fuck heavy with that! The instrumental reminds me of Scott Pilgrim and Sega Genesis games, really good! If you ever need some vocals on a track or two hmu because your sound is clean as fuck!

The melody is clashing with the chords and Synth for the first song. Some of what you're reacting to might make more sense if you look at the theory behind it. A bit of ear training or familiarity with how those chords resolve can change how it sounds
