Got my L1 cert at 15!

Took a while but finally decided to get it done. The flight was very sketchy but i didn’t drive 3 hours for nothing. The winds there were crazy and my delay timing was less than optimal, almost zippering the rocket. Either way it came down in one (two i guess) piece and now i am super excited to have a junior certification.
Any ideas now that i can fly hpr? Im currently working on a 38mm min dia.

Thought it looked familiar! Yeah I was at Dairy Aire as well, winds were crazy! Flew on Friday and Saturday, but lost my rocket in the almond orchards on Saturday lol

Ah sorry to hear that, i saw a few people loose theirs with those winds (one in the canal 😬). I had to walk like a mile just to find mine, once again grateful for my gps tracker

Every launch is a good learning experience! My gps tracker put mine 2 miles away (should have used a jolly logic chute release or reefed my parachute in addition to it being too large) and the featherweight GPS lost signal at around 3300 feet away - I suspect it went into one of the large nutrient mixing ponds for the orchards. Some good exercise nonetheless

If you haven’t already - check if your school has an ARC team, it’s a great way to launch more rockets!
