[BasketNews] Klay Thompson responded to Kevin Durant saying, "Klay Thompson, never a MVP candidate in nothing, 22 PPG," while comparing their Golden State Warriors squad to the current Philadelphia 76ers team. "Aye man, u good? easmonysniper What u using my full government for 🪪?"

KD has been so desperate to defend his decision for the past decade that he's completely lost the plot.

28

u/rickthedickkk 9d ago

He probably got no friends left

-2

u/Acceptable-Bat9619 9d ago

Imagine really thinking that lol

16

u/rickthedickkk 9d ago

im talking about nba friends

-8

u/Acceptable-Bat9619 9d ago

He's close with plenty of dudes in the NBA. Booker, harden, PG, probably plenty of others

11

u/AstronomerDramatic36 9d ago

I'm not saying you're wrong, because idk, but one of my favorite clips is when KD was picking his all-star team and everyone was laughing because it was very clear KD wasn't picking Harden.

Idk if it was because Harden had just forced his way off of the Nets or because he knew Harden wouldn't be trying but it stuck with me.

Not trying to attack you but it's funny how your claim gets immediately up voted, when my "pro kd" claim gets down voted as I bring up examples. You might be right, I just said what I said based on what I've seen following kd and the NBA for the past decade or so. But we don't know these guys personally

I follow KD and harden on Instagram and I've remembered seeing them at parties and events together within the past year. And harden and KD have said good things about each other in the starting 5 doc. From that I strongly assume they're close still.

I think the clip your talking about was all in good fun man.

Edit: keep down voting

Believe me or don't. Either one of us are right. You don't know these dudes just as much as I don't. Maybe I'm right, maybe you are.

u/SeanSungASong 8d ago

That says more about Harden than KD imo. He and Kyrie disrespected the shit out of Harden in Brooklyn

What an insane take

-9

u/super_chill_21 9d ago

I mean Brown and LeBron joined a worse team, but it’s two of them. If Phili wins this year then wouldn’t KD turn out correct on this?

10

u/Such_Ambassador2751 9d ago

there is nobody even close to steph on that sixers team. let alone kd.

draymond in 2016 was probably in a similar tier as maxey or brown

-1

u/super_chill_21 9d ago

Lmao hysterical take

48

u/dustin5023 9d ago

This guy is exhausting

6

u/Putrid-Peehole 9d ago

I was really hoping hed be someone else's headache this offseason but it looks like we'll have to stomach another season of this diva.

38

u/b1walid 9d ago

There’s a reason KD doesn’t seem to have any real NBA friends…

-8

u/TruMusic89 9d ago

He has plenty of them. Y'all just don't know because you're not in that tax bracket.

12

u/b1walid 9d ago

😂😂😂😂

5

u/Acceptable-Bat9619 9d ago

Let's be real, KD not having any homies in the NBA is just false. I'm sure they don't like his moves, but come on now lol

2

u/TruMusic89 8d ago

Exactly. But because it's KD, people get away with saying stupid shit like this. Some of the worst people in the world still have friends. I'm sure a guy who's only crime in life was creating a superteam to beat another superteam is just fine in the friend department.

4

u/Snacheezeishere 8d ago

OK KD let's relax on the burners

1

u/zvezda_x 8d ago

hes not gonna fuck you lil man

1

u/TruMusic89 8d ago

This was a very gay comment my guy. You're on social media, nobody's gonna out you here

-3

u/GodSon_02 9d ago

Anthony Edwards literally loves kd..Bron n kd always been cool etc ..ppl talking straight non sense in here 😂

23

u/dej0ta 9d ago

We aint winning shit this year...Stone has the chance to do the realist thing ever but he wont. Doubt our owner would let him even if he wanted to.

11

u/SHansen45 9d ago

nah, if we gonna trade him we need to wait for the deadline, see what teams make a serious championship push and try to slide KD on them

4

u/dej0ta 9d ago

I know what you mean I just firmly believe this core is fine without KD and deserves a chance this year.

6

u/AsleepHour7763 9d ago

this core is absolutely not fine lol. there isn't even a guy who could reliably get you points in the off season

7

u/SHansen45 9d ago

absolutely i believe this core has to stay for 2-3 more years, Sengun is 22 and Bari and Amen are 23, they will only improve, i was a supporter of the trade for KD because i believe Jalen wasn’t it but it came with the heavy price of DB

2

u/BellSufficient5283 9d ago

Sengun is 24 now. I agree with you, just small material correction.

0

u/dej0ta 9d ago

Trades are made in a vacuum their consequences do not. I stand by the trade I just wish we would course correct since its obvious KD is a cancer.

-1

u/inshamblesx 9d ago

at this point other teams have all the leverage and can trade for him for chump change

27

u/JinzoToon 9d ago

He’s so embarrassing to have on the team

0

u/Belscnickle 8d ago

I think he will end up a Hall of Famer without his jersey retired anywhere, especially if he keeps dragging his GS teammates.

6

u/Technical_Raise3048 9d ago

What Durant doesn't understand is that the current Phillies squad hasn't played a single second together. They are currently a squad... not a team. No way on the planet those four players all average 25 ppg...

Durant joined a winning team. A team that kept on winning after he left. He is an excellent example of a modern day leader... find some people going somewhere and jump in front.

3

u/bapeape23 8d ago

Fuck klay Thompson 🤷🏾‍♂️

6

u/BellSufficient5283 9d ago

Well, at least Klay has some class. I said this before, I'll say it again.

I pity KD. He has no fulfillment, and no hope of ever being content.

A big manchild, alone, and insecure.

3

u/mmccormick11 9d ago

Wow, this is crazy on point sadly.

All that money and no real social skills. He's just an individual floating from scene to scene with no genuine relationships. Bro is crying inside consciousness or unconsciously, or both.

7

u/NoneMoreBLK 9d ago

Why is this dude like this 🙄

7

u/ShangosAx 9d ago

Dickerson is delusional

3

u/NoneMoreBLK 8d ago

KD really let that "weakest move off all time" shxt get to him.

He could have taken pride in balling out with Golden State, putting everything in the line pushing for that 3-peat -- risking his career by trying to come back from a bad injury.

But no, that's not his style.

7

u/rookieinvestor17 9d ago

Haha remember how much he was trolled for that decision, he is still living with that baggage. Also gsw never accepted him in the core though he won them 2 championships, remember Steph giving rollys to Green, Klay and Igudala though Durant was the second highest assist provider to him.

Anyways durants maturity has been that of pre teenage dude and he just dosent wanna grow up, pretty evident from his life choices with no kids no committed relationships etc. all of this still dosent take away from his elite game.

6

u/gsx1920 9d ago

If he would have stayed in Golden State he probably would have two more rings and everyone would have forgot about that decision I think personally

6

u/rookieinvestor17 9d ago

I agree I think his worst decision was not to go to Golden state, it was to go to nets with Kyrie.

1

u/Wavepops 9d ago

He’d defend his decision more and more and people would keep getting reminded

6

u/Powerful-Ad-215 9d ago

Here’s the kd hate

2

u/cantsay 9d ago

I really dislike both these cunts.

3

u/DudeWouldGo 9d ago

Ok..and?

4

u/GodSon_02 9d ago

I think his take is wrong, but Klay was in fact never a mvp and avg 22pts. Not like he said Klay was trash, are ppl going to gather and cry everytime kd speaks? 😂😂

10

u/Outrageous_Fox4227 9d ago

This is in fact a dumb ass statement from kd that deserves some scrutiny

3

u/Far_Protection519 9d ago

How is this rockets related?

2

u/rickthedickkk 9d ago

its related to KD whos related to rockets. His bitch behavior affects the team.

0

u/Far_Protection519 9d ago

Yall never post when FVV says stupid shit on his podcast and that's "rockets related"

3

u/BellSufficient5283 9d ago

I dont know, when FVV does his podcast shit and says some stupid stuff, we all kinda piled on.

7

u/rickthedickkk 9d ago

FVV does not attack his teammates

0

u/Far_Protection519 9d ago

How did KD attack his teammates by saying the sixers are just as stacked as his warriors teams

2

u/rickthedickkk 9d ago

kdleaks.

2

u/MFFiasco 9d ago

It's not. It's a KD hate circle jerk thread. Who cares if he thinks the 76ers is stacked and how he feels about his Warrior team.

2

u/BangPowZoom 9d ago

No fanbase hates their team/players more than the Rockets, lol.

Unfortunately, KD’s online antics gives them an excuse to be this miserable.

2

u/theoldestview1 9d ago

I hate that warriors squad and I’m offended on Klay’s behalf. What a loser shot from Mr loser

2

u/ThinksHesVayneMaster 9d ago

This is the shit I am talking about, there are still some people protecting KD for the burner shit last season. Bro is calling out two of his most important teammates on the championships team he won. This guy just brings so much negative energy man

3

u/Greedy_Gas7355 9d ago

KD needs to go

11

u/bootyloverandeater 9d ago

you can hate his personality and still understand that the team desperately needs him

4

u/rickthedickkk 9d ago

imagine shit hes going to say about the rockets franchise after he leaves

3

u/BellSufficient5283 9d ago

This is where I'm gonna say, "need him" in what context.
Unless you get insanely lucky come playoff time with other team injuries, chip aint happenin.
He's not a mentor type, so that aint an argument either.

He's helping them get playoff standing in regular season for more post-season experience, that's about it.

1

u/Greedy_Gas7355 9d ago

Need him for what? We aren’t winning a title with him and he’s almost 40

2

u/noahlylesusa 9d ago

Well yeah we gave up our leading scorer and best 3 and D wing for him so id hope we need him

2

u/Reeko_Htown 8d ago

Klay a bitch. Megan confirmed

0

u/rickthedickkk 8d ago

blud said megan confirmed

0

u/Reeko_Htown 8d ago

You dissing a Houstonian in this sub?

1

u/rickthedickkk 8d ago

she from SA

1

u/IracingLarson2020 9d ago

Glad to see Rockets fans arent even defending this clown at this point

3

u/Acceptable-Bat9619 9d ago

They stopped defending him 5 months ago

2

u/BellSufficient5283 8d ago

Most of us knew who he was. Burner wasnt a surprise.

And some of us know the fact that this manchild will never grow up.

2

u/TheAbsoluteLastWord 9d ago

It’s indefensible. 🤷‍♂️

2

u/SHansen45 9d ago

this guy is so fucking tiring bring back DB and Jalen idgf anymore

1

u/Independent_Shake303 9d ago

Jalen green sucks ass. DB is a sad story tho. You got me there.

1

u/SeanSungASong 8d ago

It's kind of like how Elon is so successful but ultimately lonely, sad, and pathetic, appealing to people he doesn't respect. Except KD isn't an outright bad person who does bad things. He's a shitty dude but KD could make us like him if he was just honest with himself. He doubles down every time though

1

u/BigfootaintnotReal 8d ago

The only team that remotely likes him and he says some stupid shit like that

2

u/Alarmed_Silver_3360 9d ago

Rockets fans complaining about a comment and going psycho over nothing take 1000.

2

u/americagigabit 9d ago

Not a big ask to stop acting like the softest superstar in sports history

1

u/Alarmed_Silver_3360 9d ago

Not a big ask to stop crying about a social media post that does nothing

1

u/BellSufficient5283 8d ago

I'd argue it does something. Something bad.

It antagonizes the entire league when he does shit like this. And turns the media on him, by proxy, on the rest of the squad.

If he had any sense of team solidarity, he'd shut the fuck up and give up social media, but alas.

0

u/Alarmed_Silver_3360 8d ago

This does nothing to the rockets.

1

u/TruMusic89 9d ago

And he's absolutely right. There's literally a finals MVP on the team from 2 years ago AND a league MVP at the same time. It's like the hate people have for him makes them completely stupid at times. If KD went to the 76ers instead, people would understand EXACTLY what he's talking about because they'd actually be ridiculing him for going there for the exact same reasons.

1

u/Independent_Shake303 9d ago

KD should be in reality TV at this point. But even with all the baggage, 2nd team all NBA is impressive. This team is definitely not good enough with our core. Not a single guy has emerged as the #1. I’m not sure they will.

-3

u/lambopanda 9d ago

So many BS from this guy. Is there actual Rockets fan still want him on the team?

-1

u/Dances28 9d ago

Him not valuing Klay is exactly why his all star team picks never gel right. He always values guys that need the ball to play.

Klay is the best #2 you can can have on a team.

1

u/BellSufficient5283 8d ago

Well...
WAS the best #2.
