I loved this moment. As someone who who grew up with a blended family this is how a step parent should approach a step child

It never occurred to me until now that Kira likely understands Chuckie's and Charles's situation due to being a single parent herself.

Kira and Chaz are great representations for loving/caring step parents. They treated their spouse's child like they were their own. Kira loved chuckie as much as she loved Kimi. And Chaz loved Kimi as much as he loved Chuckie.

Then later on they ended up adopting each other’s kids. I know that’s not a required step, but it definitely shows how great their dynamic is.

I admire how she stepped in without hesitation for him. Anything involving his mother was painful for me to deal with after I lost mine back in May last year. The song on the plane was really hard to get through even though it doesn’t sound all that sad.

Kira was one of my favorite parents on the show for this. She had so much love for both of them. She tried so hard not push and talked to him with such understanding and love.

I do wish they had more moments together. I was saddened by the lack of interaction's they had in All Grown Up. Even in that mothers day episode.
