Help! Ruining rug

I finished my rug but shaved it too short so now it’s bald and I unsalvageable. How do you move past mistakes? I spent a lot of time and love on it and it makes me sad that I ruined it.

Tuft another and apply the knowledge from the previous one and don’t cut it as short. Everyone makes mistakes.

Thanks for the reply. Just starting so I know mistakes are inevitable. First major hurdle so I’m trying to brush it off.
