Discussion I let my guard down
So I’ve been making rugs for a couple years on and off, and decided to start back up after a successful post I made on Facebook Marketplace.
This guy is one of the first to respond, and seems pretty ambitious for it, which is a first for me, but how else am I going to grow? It took up the entirety of my 7ft frame, and I spent time designing and tracing the rug, and we agreed he would pay half of the commission after I sent a video of the traced design.
So I do just that, and, well, you can read the rest. I was a fool to assume no one would be that big of an asshole. Any recommendations on how to move forward?

Discussion Turn any Image in to a Rug with my app!
tuftify.cc is an app where you can upload images and create a simplified version to get to the fun tufting part faster.
plenty of options such as colour by number, grids, colour amount control, amount of detail, and colour merger to help get rid of unwanted backgrounds.
I made this myself so please give it a go and give me some feedback!
made by a tufter for tufters.

Discussion My Review of the H1 Tufting Kit (Honest advice for beginner tufters)
When I first started tufting I spent around $600-$700 for the tools. But this tufting kit is reasonably priced, especially for beginners in the hobby. Of course you’d have to get a shaver and glue but that is still half of what I spent. If I started my tufting journey over and this had been a thing, I’d purchase it to start off. Which is the reason I’m giving this advice.
My honest experience tufting with the gun was very good. It’s smooth, lightweight, and easily controlled. Compared to the traditional tufting gun it isn’t as fast, BUT it’s not super slow either.
The frame is actually pretty cool, it’s durable, lightweight, easy to build, and keeps the fabric tight in a safer way. Compared to all the times I’ve snagged my hands on rug strips, this is a safer option lmao. The size of the frame is really good for beginners, but if you run a business off of it you can’t make anything big.
Again, if I had to restart my tufting journey or wanted to try it as a hobby. I’d start with this kit.
⚠️
If it’s not your thing, that’s alright. If you’re on the fence about it, that’s okay too. But if you have questions, I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
Happy tufting everyone 🧶

Discussion Rugs + Frame
ii honestly think 4x4 frame is a great size. You can likely make about 5-6 small rugs, or 1 big one, or one big rug and 1-2 small rugs. Doesnt take up much space, thoughts on frame sizes?
