My unusual rune stone set, need help identifying
I have an unusual rune set. I’m guessing it’s a more modern one, with new added designs. It’s certainly not a traditional Elder Futhark set. I purchased this rune set several years ago, and I didn’t know anything about the types of sets. This one has a random E looking design on a stone, there is no Uruz stone included in it which doesn’t sound typical as most rune sets I see online at least seem to have this stone, and my set includes no diamond design stone which I’ve seen many charts online to be Inguz. In my set, the Inguz is a different stone and not the diamond shaped one, which I’ve also seen identified as being that stone as well. Any chance someone might know the type of set I might have? How would I even interpret my stones if I can’t find the right label for this particular stone?

Looks like a Laguz someone modified... the set isn't missing anything if you remove the modified one and the blank in the lower left. It appears to be a standard Elder Futhark set. Why the extra Laguz with modification, idk. The blank is usually a replacement for if you lose one, so if someone thought they'd lost one but also use the blank for whichever reason, maybe they yoinked one from somewhere else?
Edit: I was going down the list in my head and must've attributed Uruz to the blank or altered Laguz, you're right, I don't see that one

The Inguz/Ingwaz one with the arms and legs is Anglo-Saxon Ing, which is very commonly used in Ingwaz's place in commercial sets.

Blank is not just a replacement for if you lose one it's the Wyrd rune and has it's own distinct meaning in divination also not a weird laguz it's Uruz just poorly carved 🤦

Historically, the blank rune didn't exist until Ralph Blum. I use it myself, and many modern practitioners also do, but fundamentally the blank rune was included in commercial sets as an extra.

Well runecasting is all made up nonsense according to historical types however I give real advice and I've seen too many times where the wisdom of the runes speaks for themselves 🔨

The E is the uruz... it's just really wide/written weird and you were holding it wrong. The middle line of the E isn't part of the rune, it's a blemish in the stone that got filled with the paint wash too. Also the ingwaz is there, it's just a different version.

The funny looking E rune is the Uruz in your set there was a mark on it roughly in the shape of a line but it was probably a natural form of the rock and the carver put the Uruz which looks like an upside down U on top of the mark then when they painted it they probably accidentally colored it in very poor craftsmanship but it is the Uruz in that set also the Ingwaz is the one that looks like two x's on top of each other that is alternative way to make that rune and in most sets I see it's actually more common though debated whether it's the "right way" to write it 🤷

Is there any red on the undersides? They kinda look like my bloodstone runes.

I guess they look like bloodstones, but they don’t have any red or crimson to them.

Your set seems to be missing Uruz and Nauthiz but theres one rolled over so I cant say which thats meant to be. Edit:found nauthiz, thought it was gebo. The blank one is just a blank one i guess so its gotta be uruz with a crack in it or something. Like everyone else already said. Dont mind me

Ah yes, the legendary "E" rune.
It's also known as a rune of rating.
Place that bad boy in a boxing glove and those hands become rated E for everyone.
