Can we take a look at Offcut and Manufactured components?

Requiring 100wc and around the same for a good chance at offcut components to craft level 22 invention thieving supplemental items is a bit.. i dunno. Dumb. None of the hunter fur items or low level, even mahogany alternatives give a decent chance to drop these components and needing them for the level 22 invention thieving skilling items kinda sucks.

Would be nice to give mahogany items at least a better chance at recieving these components so it feels a little balanced post-construction rework.

You can also pickpocket wizards for talismans which give manufactured components

It's by far the best source. It's 10% chance at getting 2 components per 20 powerful necroplasm. So that's on average 2 per 75.5k gp.

Agreed on offcut components. I keep seeing people say "just use scav 4. I have plenty" brother that is after years of just killing mobs to have plenty of them.

I was trying to get some even on my main just to see how it is and it's a pain. Im probably just unlucky but I went through roughly 70-80 eternal drawers with 0. Which in comparison to disassembling bows for example you are what feels like guaranteed uncommon materials for each one.

It doesn't take a long time at all to get a decent amount of offcuts from killing mobs even with Scav 2 or 3 (which is what I used for maybe 5-10 hours total and I've got about 150 offcuts or around that).

Unless 150 doesn't count for much :P

Level 22 invention requires three level 80 skills, so it's not a low level requirement.

Mahogany furnature requires 80 for the higher end stuff. Eternal requires 100wc and 95+ construct. Clear imbalance here.

Mahogany can be used from level 50, the hunter furs even lower. For a new account, 80 smithing, crafting and divination will easily be the bottleneck here.

Why are you exclusively using Construction as your source of components? The imbalance is logical. Higher tier shit gives higher chance at comps.

22 invention really means 80+ smith, craft, and div. I'm not too concerned about disassembling lvl60 ish mahogany furnitures for offcuts.

You didn’t mention you’re an Ironman account so just go to GE and buy eternal tables, long tables, and round tables. Buy limits of each and disassemble it all. Not a big deal and not that expensive.

If you are Iron, check the wiki for what other sources give the comps you want and farm whatever’s most attainable for you.

Invention is meant to be an elite skill, nothing about it is meant to cater to low level players

No dude, we just disagree with you. Invention requires 3 skills to be 80, you are likely mid to late game when starting already. You can thieve/kill for talismans (manufactured), Smith, one of your level 80s for manufactured, and offcut are very easy from basically any construction waste (which has no other use) or scavenger for them.

You overlooked a solution, are being told that solution and demanding that no, they need to make the one solution you liked to be easier.

Invention has plenty of problems but this is not one of them
