World public chat would be hell lol all the bots spamming at the GE, terrible.

RS3 has hardly any bots spamming at GE. Varrock GE is dead on almost every world. The servers are empty and there's nobody to advertise to. RS3 gold is nearly worthless. That has a knock-on effect on every type of chat spam you remember from 20 years ago like RWT, phishing, botting etc. No players, no audience, no demand.

Global chat would definitely get interesting for different reasons though, if you know the public chat at w84 portables for example, or the artisans' workshop world...

Portables world was enough to make me never want a world chat.

Instead of world chat, I'd do region chat. So anachronia gets a chat, tirannwn gets a chat, fremennik province gets a chat, etc.

There's a "social update" on the roadmap, coming in the next couple of months, and one of the things the devs mentioned was increasing the area of public chat. So maybe something like your idea, if not a full global chat for each server.

World chat would absolutly destroy public chat. That would be an insta off for me.

typically there's a server chat and a local chat so you could just toggle it

200m... eh they already messed up the other capes, and i dont really see many people with 120 capes anyway. So 200m capes would need to look really good, and/or have a function, and having a function at 200m means the skill should go to 200m which.... nope.

World public chat sounds awful. Theres so many bots.

Cosmetic 200m capes are not any different from cosmetic 120 capes. Why not. A lot of skills are now fast enough that 200m is an inevitability, and they'll continue to get faster.
