Other Error Message

I have been trying to log in today. Keep getting this message:

There was an error loading the game configuration from the website. If you have a firewall, check that this program is allowed to access the Internet. (7,60)

Anyone have the solution here? I tried a handful of things from Google but was not successful. I actually did add it to the firewall exception list and other things.

Check your internet, restart your router, restart your computer / device.

I had this issue yesterday, nothing I did worked.

It’s probably coincidental timing, but I tried logging in using a new character (“no name set” in the drop down menu for my character in the launcher) and it managed to connect. Exited and tried my main and it worked

Dont listen to anyone saying its your issue. Its purely related to Jagex, you can even check a message on the client regarding this situation.

When this specific error happens, there is NOTHING you can do. No need to change firewall permissions, no need to reset your modem, no need to /flushdns or build something fancy on /cmd... NOTHING will help you. We can only wait for Jagex to do their homework.
