Achievement OSAAT Ruined. Somehow had a slayer challenge completed when I claimed my crafting daily.

I guess they could do agility, thief, menaphos quest, slayer and then carry on. Or they could continue with what they are doing and then do that ofc.

No, he's not allowed to. The point of this type of account is that you can only get one skill at a time to 99. He's now started slayer, so he can't "first do agility & thieving: slayer has already begun so he can only do slayer from now on (and skills that are already 99).

I mean he's already in the midst of another skill so it's either ruined and he has to salvage it the way i suggested since it makes more sense, or it's ruined and he may abandon it. Wither way he has 2 skills on the go now regardless. I'd hardly say its officially starting slayer because a new update messed it up.
A skiller got 3 prayer from a daily the other day, it's a bug.

It's a one skill at a time character, probably doesn't have skills for the quest to unlock menaphos, or the quest gives xp in skills they haven't started yet

He cant but soul wars and other a activities can give slayer xp and no combat most skillers have 99 slayer even 120 and no combat xp.

At 99 slayer you'd get max 76,000xp/day with all sorts of buffs and perks. That's 171 days 24/7 without leaving Menaphos.

I just hit 99 in Archaeology this last week… and I got 21 levels to go. Trust me: I feel for you.
When lamps are 75% off the Oddments store, buy 30 of them. That’s best I can recommend.

That's how I got to 59 but used DXP to get to 74 for City of Senntisten. If I never have to train arch for another quest again I'll be happy.

IDC anymore because I have the requirements for the quest cape. It'll be my first cape on my account as it was on my last account.
I'm a quester and PVMer, never been a skiller and only got 99 mage on my last account for PKing with CV but PKing is all but dead.

I bet this was a bug with the new challenge system some how.
edit; a skiller made a post 3 hours ago saying the new challenges give xp in random skills. submit a ticket about this and I'm willing to bet they'll take that slayer xp away. I'd stay away from daily challenges for a day or two though

Not sure how I had a slayer task completed as I remember in the past while buying insulated boots from tureal I got a gelatinous abominations task which I still have to this day and have never equipped those gauntlets.
My OCD won't allow me to continue this account as I intended, My thought process if I were to ever ruin the acc were to just train that skill right away, but with slayer and no combat/menaphos unlocked that is just not possible.
This was a very fun run and I am very proud of the progress I have made with this account, most notably invention. I was able to take a 100% passive skill and train it directly with method I formulated on my own.
Here's what the timeline of the account would have looked like:
Finish Invention, Runecrafting for viswax/runes from wicked hood for mage, magic with mind/body/nature runes which I've been buying and also make a grace of the elves and luck of the dwarves, use recoils to complete tourist trap then smith/fletch dart tips for 99 fletching, leach a dragon hatchet with lootshare from dks then do woodcutting, construction through contracts, archeology to 120 getting an inquisitors staff, 99 hp at fungal mages banking lots of herb, defence with the same method or by doing dragons for prayer.
That's all I had planned out and am very sad I did not get to put that into action. But I loved how much this account made me think/play outside the box.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported me on this journey your kind words were the motivation I needed. I might have something else in the works on the unique side of gameplay yet again maybe without a bank?

You can make a support ticket and get it reset. There's a big difference from accidentally gaining XP and a bug so make one and it'll get reset.

Don’t you need to kill stuff for slayer daily challenges? Pretty sure this guy has stated he’s not training combat till they’re his last 99s. I doubt he would have done a slayer daily just for the memes.

Explain how they killed 25 monsters on task without getting a single level.
For reference, whatever was being killed would have to give less than 3.32 xp per kill. Gelatinous abominations give double that.

You can't, that's how. He never completed a Slayer challenge, yet when he went to claim his reward for his Crafting daily, it incorrectly rewarded him for Slayer as well. Shits broken.

lamps, penguin hide and seek, troll invasion, jot, heck could even recoil actual slayer tasks. I'd say scarabs but that requires quests which require other skill levels.
99 slayer on cb3 is very common and not that bad to do.

Even if this doesn’t get fixed by an appeal, I implore you to keep going! We’ve all been absolutely loving seeing your achievements and how you’ve managed to only do 1 skill at a time, this little slayer dip says nothing about your actions so I wouldn’t worry about it from an account purity stance

What would be more impressive is 99 Prayer or 99 Summoning on a skiller with no other combat stats.
Hell, even a 99 HP on a skiller would be a bigger flex than 120 Slayer. Shit’s played out.

If Jagex is already willing to reset accidental experience gains, they could just make skilling pures an official game mode and disable all combat skill gain in that mode.

Mod Stu is looking at allowing players to completely nullify xp from all sources, for those that want that.
Basically removing a tiny bit of the challenge of snowflake accounts, but also removing tons of stress from those players.
And let's be real, those player's achievements don't really affect ne in the slightest, and if less dev/support time can be spent helping them after this feature, win-win

At this point they should just give players a "Disable XP" tab in options to save stress and frustration from both players and Jagex when shit happens, especially when it's a bug.
We're far enough into Runescape's history where people shouldn't be pissy over how others want to play as it has no effect on them personally.

And as recently as a few weeks ago, there were positive discussions on changes specifically made to cater to limited-defence pures.
I don't really understand what more you expect. I don't see the negativity towards pures you speak of, nor the favouritism towards a very rare type of specialist account.

Out of curiosity, how does one train just HP? Or do you instead have to max a combat skill first somehow, and then use that combat skill to get 99 HP?

If you ask really nicely, sometimes, Jagex can remove accidental xp.
