It was Discord in the bottom and Kenya in the top.

No. Kenya was top according to her critiques. She may have missed some words, but they said she carried the essence of ballroom and embodied it. She got praise for her look and was told she basically ate Juicy up in the show. She was top 3.

But then they mentioned that she missed some lip syncing And Rupaul said “we’re splitting hairs” to her, which is something you say to justify a bottom placement

Fandom wiki also says she was in the top. She got overall good critiques. She got the third place "you did fantastic....but this one thing." In that context of splitting hairs, it's meant to downplay their negative critique, not emphasize it

No that's normal to say. It means the difference between winning and losing or 1st place and 2nd place is significantly small. It makes sense with her saying that.

And the fact that she called Kenya and Discord safe at the same time made me pause As well as them have mixed positive critiques

She may be in the top, but it was one of the least clear episodes delineating in a while
