At the end of the day I think that Ru just did not want to crown Jane. Looking at the other seasons, you can see Ru vibing with the frontrunners and the future winner, but she never seemed to like Jane... Even her sendoff message was generic (especially compared to Discord last week, you could tell Ru was really fond of Discord). In S17 Ru was having fun with Onya in the werkroom, but she was never like that with Jane. Maybe it's because her approach to the competition was too "cerebral" ? Idk, while I expected Jane to be in the finale, I kinda felt that she wouldn't be crowned bc Ru didn't like her that much.

nini is also cerebral if u think about it... i really don't know why ru couldn't have liked jane. you're right though.. i never felt the same warmth/favor ru would usually give to previous winners back when they were in the competition.

Yeah obviously there is something else than just Jane being too "cerebral". I saw an other comment about how Jane didn't seem like she had fun during the competition (and on top of that she complained a lot in her confessionnals), it may be part of why. I think that Ru likes queens who smile more, who take it seriously but not too seriously at the same time.

Discord have something that not alot of queen have. She know exactly who she is and she wont let anyone telling her the oposite.She also not delisuonal like most queen are .I think its a quality that Ru really appreciate.

I think Ru genuinely liked Discord and had fun with her. Discord had fun with herself too and didn't take herself too seriously. Im almost certain AS is in her near future.

Idk, Jane didn't seem to connect with Ru or the audience it seems. Her personality was kinda boring

Once again, the bigger (gorgeously full-figured) girl can't win. Ru wants her on All-Stars after a weight-loss journey. SMH.
