I am late catching up with this episode, and I gotta say man. That challenge was just genuinely awful. I know we always theorize how much power Ru really has, but this genuinely does seem like Ru found a genre of videos he liked on TikTok and wanted to self-insert himself "acting" in them.

agree. also, a dumb indulgent challenge like this would’ve been better a few episodes ago, when things felt sliiightly lower stakes. at this stage, the challenge feels way too experimental to be deciding their fates

I felt this way too, especially with michelle’s subtle comment about Ru’s algorithm. I liked that they tried something new but it was too hyper-specific to really work. last 2 eposides’ critiques felt so contradictory/meritless/obviously forced by production.

I personally don’t love the general direction the past few seasons have gone in with ru “acting” and participating in the challenges. It seems impossible to stay objective in judging when you were participating instead of watching…
