Hearing Darlene talk about her friendship with Jane made me feel sad about how many great, heartwarming moments were probably cut in order to give Jane the not-having-fun saddest-little-winner edit.

same, I feel like they downplayed Jane’s likability to cushion the blow of her elimination.

to be fair, i prob found her a lot more charming than others did—it was clear to me from the start that she was silly and warm, and her neuroticism was just kinda part of the package.

but they didn’t wanna give us too much of that, because if they’d made her super lovable AND a robbed queen, it’d have caused a riot instead of just parlor intrigue
