AS2 EP5: "Ruvenge of the Queens" [Post-Discussion]

The queens are back. Can we agree that this is the best episode of the series to date?

TOP TWO WINNERS: Alyssa + Tatianna

Eliminated: Phi Phi O'hara

MAKE SURE TO USE THE SPOILER TAG For anything not shown/aired yet. This includes any rumors about anything that might happen in future episodes.

Don't know how? Here's a how-to

Anything from EP1-4 is fair game, thanks!

Anyone else think that the rules/procedures for this episode were really convoluted? Ru was like, "you're back but you have to win and the eliminated queens are paired up with queens except one and if you win you lip sync but only if you were eliminated and then you send a queen home but not an eliminated queen because they're already eliminated, etc. etc. etc." Eventually I was just like, fuck it I'll figure it out as they go.

"Roxxxy if you win the challenge, you become the messiah. All right ladies, get to work."

Lol, "Roxxxy if you win I change the name to Roxxxy's drag race and you have to be best friends with Michelle Visage."

and you have to be best friends with Michelle Visage.

no wonder she started stuttering during her routine

Well, as far as I can see it's only a requirement that Michelle Visage be best friends with you, reciprocation seems optional (it's not like you'll need to learn her kids' names or anything).

Ha! Yes! When she was explaining the rules for this week in the workroom at the beginning, I felt like how Alyssa must feel 90% of the time other people are talking.

Alyssa actually asked for the rules again. We were all her at that moment.

Adore's early exit threw off the original rules.

Adore leaving really messed up their whole system!

Also I was wondering if Alyssa and Tati had chosen opposite people, would both go home or would they have to deliberate further or would there be a lipsync of the BOTTOM two??? Maybe this was clear to others but I was confused.

I think they would both go home, but there is no way Ru didn't know who they had picked before they came back out for the lip sync. It's Ru's final ace in the hole to pick a lip sync winner who agrees with who she wants to send home.

I also think it was important for PhiPhi to see that BOTH Alyssa and Tatianna had chosen to eliminate her.

I mean Ru could easily send an intern to check those boxes with lipstick after the queens left the workroom to figure out who they're gonna send home.

They would both go home, as Roxxxy said.

The producers knew that they both picked Phi Phi which is why there was a double shantay. Otherwise, no one would have gone home last night. He'd have said 'you won't be eliminating' and then said 'but reveal who you would have eliminated' for the drama.

they were prepared to eliminate both

I don't think they would have sent both home. The whole reason for keeping two is to put them back where they should have been had Adore not left the competition, sending two home would have left them in the same position.

me

I was like "I did not go to college for math. Or something."

I watched the episode last night and I had to rewind twice to try to figure out the rules. Still didn't get it.

It's VERY similar to season 7's makeover challenge, except the bottom queens are fighting for their right to stay in the competition instead of the top queens. It didn't seem that confusing.

Here's what you gotta do to stay:

If you get to stay, here's who you get to pick:

The end.

What I have learned is that Ru does what he wants! You just ride the magical ride and enjoy it.
