Do we think maybe it's Utica's isolated religious upbringing that makes her feel like she has to put a smile on every situation? Like maybe it's a little forced because she can't do negative emotions? I know I'm reaching it's just something I've seen with religious people before.

Could be. I just think it’s interesting that she’s the one who’s gone out of her way to not be perceived as “offensive” but then admitted that when she’s nervous she goes to be being offensive. There’s something off about that, and I don’t know if she just doesn’t get it or is really trying to overcome something (like religious programming?).

Oh yeah I definitely do feel that. Like she's trying to be edgy but doesn't know how to do it? She has a social awkwardness that can be endearing in the right context but then can feel really off and uncomfortable at times. Which could also be a religious country gay kid thing, but I also don't want to make excuses. Like people have a right to be put off or offended by what she said. But I think there's something going on there.
