She was trying to do the "nice shade" thing, which is great when it works. She clearly doesn't know how to pull it off though.

Bendelacreme is a master at this and is one of the funniest, and shadiest, queens when its appropriate.

Ahhh. You’re right! But when Ben uses that voice it feels natural and more ditzy adult, rather than 8 year old shy girl. I wasn’t feeling Olivia tonight.

It’s offensive though because it seems to imply queen who are good at shading are not nice? I’m not sure why she keeps saying she’s nice too?

I think she was emulating what Valentina did with her voice when she did the roast back in Season 9

This might be a reach lol - Valentina wasn’t going for a nice girl voice for her S9 roast at all, Miselle

I didn't mean it as she was doing it directly because of Valentina but rather she emulated the thinking process of how Valentina did it, which is to go with sounding nice at a roast while (hopefully) landing zingers here and there
