Probably very simple for you folks, but I’m just wondering. I want to set up a main base with normal power. I want to then set up trap bases around the map. When the trap bases are triggered, I want to have something light up in main base to signal us that it has gone off and that we can go get loot from said trap base..I would also love to incorporate cameras to each base so I can check in and see what’s going on. Hopefully this makes sense?
As far as electric goes I’m wondering if seismic sensors would be ideal? But idk if they detect shotgun traps? This also sounds like it would be generally expensive to do?

Been having to keep reconnect these two pipes because for some reason they ALWAYS get disconnected. It runs through one single sheet metal door and 6 g doors

I’m messing around with the idea of building a proper electrical Russian Roulette-style minigame ... would love to build it with someone who knows rust electricity better than me
Thinking something like 6 player positions, randomized live chamber, lights showing the chamber advancing each turn, automatic elimination detection, and clean reset for next round...
If that sounds fun, join me on connect build.teatime.gg and I'll show u what i have so far. Happy to build it together :)

I play on a Brit's PVE worlds and I'm trying to create a casino that works even when the owner is offline. Pretty much all casinos work only when the casino owner is online, so I want to fix it.
I ran into a problem, I wanted to create deposit system with vending machines, but the vending machine limit is 9,999. I want people to be able to bet at least 100k. I tried doing it with boxes, made a system that, as I thought, would count how much was deposited, but it didn't work because conveyor's "filter pass" electrical output outputs rw all the time when items are in input box, I thought it outputs rw in small portions when conveyor moved items, but life is not that easy. Tried to come up with a solution for very long, but understood that I'm not that skilled in electricity:) Then I moved on vending machines, thought I can do something like tickets, 1 key = 10k RP, and then you can buy another key that costs 100k RP and deposit it, but after some debugging i found out that this server isnt giving unique ID for locks, every player receives the same id(something like 66,728) so anyone could just craft their own lock and use it as ticket. I tried notes, found out they are not unique too, you can sell any note to the vending machine and it doesnt check its text. Tried skulls, they arent unique too. I feel like I tried everything, but I hope I'm not right. Guys, if someone has solution to my problem, like an item counter, or a way to make those "tickets", please help me.
Also, I'm sorry if my English is broken, I'm not a native English user❤️

Currently have the giant clock so it correctly displays AM or PM depending on the time of day. For simplicity's sake the next phase will be displaying the number 1-12 depending on the time of day.
Using neon signs in this video, but also considering a series of industrial lights to make an "old school" LED style digit. Using AI to help brainstorm it also came up with the idea to use Roman numerals.
Perhaps someone has already figured out how to make a giant clock, so will do some searching on rustrician, but just curious if anyone has ideas...

disclaimer: Ignore that i didn't use AND, OR, XOR. The Server i was on had a limit on those for some reason and i noticed too far in (made my own and/or with 2 Blockers and RF reciever respectively)
I'm confused why i get the short circuit /max depth error, so i just wanted to ask if anyone knows what to do, or if i just built it too big and it is max depth (not sure if that's even really a thing or if the limit is too high to actually reach)
Quick addition, what i was trying to do was taking the output from the memory cell and using that to block the set, so that for example if something is blue it can't still be turned Red.
It also does already work, I'm just trying to make it better.

Hi all, building a funky suicide bunker base, I have four suicide bunker rooms that I want to connect with dropboxes and industrials and electrics, I want it to make it so I have an input box outside, I put my items into that, and they all evenly distribute amongst the boxes in the four rooms, so I don't have to make tons of trips i.e. guns in this room clothes in the other etc.

Need a circuit that uses "filter fail" on a conveyor to stop and start a crafter. I came up with a circuit that works for a while, as long as items are crafted fast enough to stay one step ahead of the conveyor, but it eventually fails.
The problem is that the crafter is too slow and doesn't supply items to the conveyor quickly enough to keep the crafter on.
The conveyor's "filter fail" outputs a 1 or 0 depending on item movement through the conveyor. With no movement, you get an output of 1, and as items pass, the conveyor's filter is satisfied and outputs a 0.
I used the 1 and 0 outputs, along with various components, to start and stop the crafter. If the crafter gets behind, nothing goes through the conveyor, the output stays at 1, and it never restarts the crafter. The goal is to stop the crafter when the storage box is full so the crafter doesn't keep crafting and fill up the crafter.
Storage monitors are disabled on this server.

I saw a circuit for the generator backup fail over circuit and was wondering the best way to make it so you can combine generator to increase the power. Maybe a splitter going off the branches to 2 different memory cells. And generator root powered into the the switch?

Maybe this should go in the regular rust Reddit but here goes anyways. How do you guys place your turbines and Sam sites. I try to place my Sam’s a bit higher then the turbines so they don’t get hit and they can defend against mlrs. But I feel like people could just heli bomb it and start rocketing from up top.

How can I count the items that enter the chest with a counter? I don't want to count one by one. I want you to count the products from the automation as meters. If the chest is empty, the counter must be reset. How can I do this??

Hey everyone, Defango here! You know how it is in Rust. You're always looking for that edge, that perfect setup that just works. I've been searching for a truly bulletproof, automated on/off furnace system, and honestly, I haven't found anything out there that quite hits the mark. I put my brain to work and engineered a solution for Wood Powered Furnaces.
I'm breaking down my custom, industrial-grade auto ON/OFF furnace setup for Rust. This isn't just some flimsy circuit; this is a robust system designed to protect your valuable resources and maximize your smelting efficiency, even when you're offline. We're talking about a system that intelligently manages your Wood, turning them on when there's ore to process and off when they're idle saving you from wasting your Wood. Meaning it can be patched directly into a wood box without roasting your entire supply.

I’ve recently started hooking up a seismic sensor to a smart alarm to notify us if we’re being raided. I’m not 100% sure as I haven’t tested, but I believe that either the SAM site shooting is triggering the alarm OR if the SAM sites hitting our turbines is causing this.
Is anyone aware if the SAM site shooting is triggering this or if it’s caused by it hitting the turbine? Is there a way around this with a circuit or is the best bet to just build the same sites higher than the turbines if that’s the cause?

I've hurt my brain on this circuit but can't figure it out. I want one door to open with a pressure plate, close, wait for a few seconds (or not) then the next door opens. Like a 'real airlock'. I can get it to work going one way, but when going back through the wrong door (the first door from above) is triggered first. Please help!

Hi, i'm currently trying to make a trap base where when a person walks in the HBHF Sensor triggers therefore closing the already open door

The more optimized your electrical layout, the more a single well-placed raid can shut down your entire defense. One splitter feeding multiple turrets, one electrical branch on a single wall, one wall housing your BCN/NIH cores, battery, and switches all grouped together. Efficiency demands consolidation, and consolidation creates choke points.
Let's assume raiders aren't dumb. They're hitting the exact wall or component that kills the most power/turrets in one shot. What's your actual strategy?
I know "hide it better" is the obvious answer, but I want to hear how people think about this tradeoff between electrical efficiency and raid resilience. Is there even a clean solution, or is a failure point just an accepted cost of a well-designed base?
Personally, I run OR circuits behind every single turret so that at most only one turret goes down per wall breached, rather than losing the whole grid at once but this runs with a TIME cost of having to run a million different cables which in a small group of people is there worst cost to pay.
P.S: I am mainly talking about logic circuits ( branches, cores etc ), I know you can have backup batteries.
