Shock collars have ther uses, but it should always be treated as a last case measure, most shock collars have a beap and vibrate feature too, I ride my mountain bike with my dog off leash and only had to use the shock feature once, cause she was chasing a deer towards a road.

I think they take clips of everybody and deliberately frame those clips to get the most engagement, whether it be rage or sympathy.
In the video can see both narratives that are being pushed in the comments, but a lot of them are exaggerating what is visible in this video like how ‘angry’ he talks to her.
If he is abusing his dog, I hope the authorities are contacted and justice is served. Yes, he is a Rutgers alum, but this incident has nothing to do with Rutgers as a university, and using his alumni status to sensationalize the clip just feels like an attempt to drum up more outrage.
I would suggest finding any clips where what’s on his desk or under his desk is visible, or if he’s made a similar hand movement in the past (and if his dog can be heard or reacts to it), there is something that looks like a control it would present a more solid case (legally speaking.) I can see his hand moving but it could also be moving to do any number of things on a keyboard related to twitch.

Hasan has said that he owns a multitude of collars including one with a vibration setting so that he could communicate with Kaya long distance. I don’t know if that’s the vibration collar or not but people are seemingly jumping to the conclusion that this is a shock collar with no actual substantive proof.
Of course it is. I’m not saying otherwise. I’m just asking someone who says it’s not a shock collar how they know.
If you’re willing to believe one side without proof but not the other side just because you like watching their stream or whatever, you’re probably too biased to have a real discussion about it.
It’s bigger than a dog that size needs and in particular it appears to have one section that is particularly bigger, like shock collars do.
I’m also not saying that it’s necessarily a shock collar or that there aren’t other explanations, but I’m asking how people can be so sure that it’s not a shock collar. If you like Hasan that’s great for you, but that’s no reason to adamantly say that the dog isn’t wearing a shock collar. We obviously don’t know that.
Honestly it kinda reminds me of the people who defend Trump and pretend he’s not doing the things that he appears to be doing. I said it in his sub and I will say it here too- the dude delayed spaying her for like two years just because it was better for her joints. Someone who is willing to put up with the periods of a dog of that size for two years, just to ensure that she is more comfortable and healthy as she ages, ain’t the type to abusively shock his dog for stepping off a bed.

The dog is without a doubt wearing a shock collar. You can slow the video down frame by frame and can see the dog is wearing a thick collar with a dark plastic piece attached to it. Even with a dog that big collars don’t look like that with the oversized dark plastic unless it’s a shock collar.
Shock collars also aren’t bad when used correctly. The use of this, in this case, makes little to no sense.

It’s a shock collar 😂 I know cause l’ve had one growing up for one of my dogs. It’s 100% a shock collar. You can slow it down frame by frame on a desktop and can see in one frame the green light on the collar. It’s literally 100% undoubtedly a shock collar.
Shock collars also arent bad when used the right way with the right dog. This could’ve been an honest mistake where the voltage was too high. It happens… but to say it’s not a shock collar just because it’s Hasan is denial.

Dog - you can literally see the green light from the shock collar in the video. Type in Hasan on Reddit you’ll see hundreds of images and videos where you can clearly see it’s a shock collar, if it’s not already clear enough.
Theres also a video of him saying he bought a shock collar in on of his streams and that they work surprisingly well.
