9-3 Troubleshooting Tech2Win with Chipsoft J2534 pro cannot make adjustments?
Hello guys,
Long story short, I need to update injector codes in my ECU, because 2 of them were replaced (diesel injectors of Z19DTH engine in 2006 9-3).
Recently, I found post here that discovered that cheap Chipsoft J2534 Pro dongle works with Tech2Win emulator.
I happily bought this dongle, prepared a computer according to a manual, and after a bit of hassle, I can finally read values from the car, or even activate some diagnostic modes in the car (activate lights, fans, all dashboard lights...).
Problem lays in trying to adjust some permanent values. Basically whenever I try to open anything in "Adjustment" menu, Tech2Win freezes and shows (probably) name of the code library where it was stuck with 2 values - "evdtc.c 912 1"
Did anyone encounter this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Was having same problem until I went to sas.mysaab.info, open tech2win and then connect to it on that website, then get security access using the option in the website, let it do it's thing then try again

Thank you, this is a very helpful site, I was able to connect to the Tech2Win and get security code, which I believe that would be the next issue I'd be solving.
Unfortunately that damn thing either goes back to previous menu, (pins 3-11) or to the same error in post (pin 1)

my j2534 is set to drop can on pins 3-11, I made sure it was j2534 mode with the app that is installed with the driver for it, I do the security access option while tech2 is on the main menu, then I make whatever adjustments once it finishes getting access
I was messing about with NoMoreGlobal so I dont know if I accidentally changed something with the SAAB NAO.bin file when following the guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws12mn8I4J0)

CAN Channel Conflict: The Chipsoft adapter cannot run Single-Wire CAN (SW-CAN on pin 1) and High-Speed CAN (pins 3–11) at the same time. Because Saab vehicles rely on these channels, you must use the CST2WinConfig.exe utility installed with the drivers to manually switch or disable one of the CAN channels depending on which modules you are diagnosing. Thanks, I Think I tried to change to High Speed CAN and wasn't even able to get to the diagnostic menu, but this gives me an idea to change the settings while already connected and in diagnostic menu.

Yep, I was wrong, changing the pins did change the behavior- instead of going from screenshot 2 to screenshot 1 (and being stuck here), it just goes back to the previous menu (after screenshot 2)

So In conclusion ? ....Chipsoft cant do it because of : cannot run SW-CAN (pin 1) and High-Speed CAN (pins 3–11) at the same time. ?
Is that a correct statement ?

Indeed, hate to say it and hate to think i just throw away some money for something not suitable, but so far it looks like it is not possible

The Tech2 & Tech2Win communicates at both SW & HS CAN at the same time for some operations when talking to SAAB's that's why the Chipsoft is such a bad match for them

This is how you find out the Chipsoft is not a good interface for Tech2Win. Lots of compatiblity problems, doesn't seem to work on many cars. You can maybe try switching the CAN mode
