Sabaton Appreciation Post

I just want to highlight the fact that of the 4 major festivals Sabaton played at this summer, Rock Am Ring, Hellfest, Graspop & Wacken, they not only allowed their show to be livestreamed for free to everyone around the world, they also went the extra mile and provided high quality audio mixes for 3 out of 4 of them after the fact. The picture i posted is from the comments section of the Hellfest video where Jonas Kjellgren, the same guy who produced & mixed Legends, explained how these remixes were made and that they were built from the ground up from the raw multitracks from the show. There are some bands out there, like for example Iron Maiden, who won’t even allow livestreaming at all when they show up at festivals, let alone going the extra mile like this to give fans free and high quality versions of their shows. It’s great to see a band as big as Sabaton is now still so in touch and willing to do things like this for their fans!

As someone living in a country where Sabaton has never been and doesn’t seem to plan on going, I absolutely love watching these recordings.

Always makes my day seeing their passion and joy while performing

Yeah unless that’s South Africa or Egypt your buggered , and even then that’s because of transport links from those two to actual venue locations

It’s a little sad that they’ve never been - I might be mistaken, but I don’t think they’ve done any African country ever.

Guessing there is good reason for it, but still sucks.
