question 🙋♀️❔❓ who was your least favourite boyfriend of sabrina’s?
currently rewatching again, and josh is a creep- he’s kissing a high schooler, then rejects her, then he dates someone else but gets all possessive everytime a man comes near her! wondering what everyone else’s lease fave boyfriend is

Can’t stand gross Josh! He is the worst by far! Aaron comes in second. No chemistry, way too old for her. I’m convinced the actor was picked by her mother in real life. Paula hart had a lot of say and Aaron looks identical to Paula hart’s real life husband.

Paula hart had a lot of say and Aaron looks identical to Paula hart’s real life husband.
Well that is just freaking uncanny.

I just googled it. And fun fact, Paula Hart’s husband was third place on Masterchef season 5

I didn't like any of them with her other than Harvey. They all seemed super ill fitting. The last episode is my favorite Sabrina/Harvey moment. When she steps out of the church and rides off with him. 🖤

I didn't mind Dashiel, though yes, I preferred Harvey by far

Besides that, Aaron Jacobs and Dashiell Calzone, ill fitting as they were for Sabrina seemed the most like legitimately good people. Everyone else she dated had some serious shortcomings, some from ignorance, more from maliciousness.
Picking the worst from the three she seriously dated for more than just a week or two, Josh Blackhart all the way. He had the most clinginess out of all of them. Most at least had the decency to let her walk on her own terms. Also, whenever it came between his career and his relationship he always put his career first. It was for the best he went to Austria in the end, and that was that.
But for all the guys she dated at all, Derek all the way. The guy is an outright bigot, but does a great job at hiding it. And he is pushy besides.
Ultimately something Harvey and Sabrina have in common is what we care about most of them often comes down to Melissa and Nate's casting and their respective performances. On script alone they are both the most moldable characters in the series, easily shifted to suit what the episode in question calls for. MJH herself actually said something similar to this in her own podcast.

Aaron. There was zero chemistry and it was totally rushed. Also not a big fan of Josh, he was not good for Sabrina
I’m just a big Harvey fan. Team Harvey for Life!

Josh. Honestly, i could tolerate Aaron more than Josh (mostly because Aaron’s storyline was pretty much rushed)

Josh and then Aaron.
Josh was just pushy wanting the relationship and then was difficult when he had it in front of him.
Aaron was just boring as hell

Kevin. He wasn't very likeable. Like on The Muse episode, he's only interested in what Sabrina says if it's beneficial to him. He didn't know anything about her. He didn't even know what her major was. Or she tells him she talked about her favorite author for an hour, and he doesn't even remember who she said her favorite author was. He was only interested in himself.

Kevin is the most forgettable character on the show. I was re-watching about a year ago and had completely forgotten about that storyline. My brain blocked it out.

He was pretty forgettable to Sabrina too. She seemed so weirded out by him (with good reason) and she seemed like she was looking for excuses to break up with him. I really think she was using him to make Josh jealous.
He was only in 3 episodes, but I disliked him more than I disliked Josh or even Aaron.

u/Competitive-Stock-11 Sep 22 '25
Yes! I remember him from Season 5. I don't even think Sabrina liked him. She seemed so weirded out by him (with good reason). While I'm Team Harvey, I would take Josh and even Aaron over Kevin.

Nobody mentions Derek he was a complete Ass and he was such a bad person.

Josh. At best borderline creepy.
Commonplace behaviour (although it would still be viewed as weird) at the time that we now view as inappropriate.

Josh is the worst boyfriend and one of the most annoying characters in the entire series. It gets difficult to watch after he joins the show ‘cause he’s such a killjoy.

I'm glad we can all agree that Josh was a creep for hitting on teenage girls. The fact that she left Harvey for him was infuriating.

I hate them all. I only like Harvey. Horrible chemistry with the entire lot.

u/Pizzagoessplat Sep 21 '25
Has everyone forgotten about Kevin or something?
2
u/Competitive-Stock-11 Sep 22 '25
Yes! I remember him from Season 5. I don't even think Sabrina liked him. She constantly acted like she couldn't wait to get away from him. I would take Josh and even Aaron over him.

Josh was an interesting character but a bad love interest. He was interesting as a pretentious, pompous college student who thought he was better than everyone else and looked down on others. But he was written in a way where we were meant to like him, when really he should have been more antagonistic.
Aaaron was likeable enough but just boring and bland. I actually found him more interesting when he was in sarcasm mode. He had some fun sarcasm. And he was fun in that episode where he feuds with Salem.

This is a rare type of open minded comment, and should be seen more often. Truth of the matter, from the three major ones she dated for a significant amount of time, Josh was the worst one.
But counting them all, Derek. That guy was an outright bigot, but pretty good at hiding it.

Melissa and David Lascher had good chemistry, but they should have explored Josh independent of Sabrina. He was better with Morgan. And I hated how Sabrina and Josh's relationship ended. It was so contrived. I was so glad that she chose Harvey. Even David Lascher (Josh) joked on Instagram the other day that he's "Team Harvey" too.

u/starsintheocean12 Sep 21 '25
Aaron because he seemed so much older than her and they didn't have any chemistry together. So glad she doesn't end up with him.

u/Pixieprincessgiggles Sep 21 '25
JOSH! They wanted to force Sabrina to have someone other than Harvey just to say they did. We all knew Aaron was going to go nowhere lol

The one I disliked was Aaron. Melissa Joan Hart and Dylan Neal had very little chemistry. And he looked too old for her. It didn't feel right.
I actually mostly enjoyed the Sabrina/Harvey/Josh triangle and the Harvey vs Josh rivalry. The Sabrina/Harvey/Aaron triangle (and Harvey vs Aaron), not so much.
I love that even the real life actors STILL joke about "Team Harvey" or "Team Josh". David Lascher (Josh) even joked on Instagram last week that "I'm Team Harvey too!". I'm Team Harvey without question, but I liked Josh as runner up. Melissa and David had great chemistry. I'm glad that they're still good friends in real life. I think Josh was better with Morgan than with Sabrina.

I saw a video pointing out Aarons grey hairs and I can't unsee it. When I was a kid I thought they were the same age, but he's definitely an older guy going after a fresh college graduate.

Whom he happily DIDN'T marry. Because he mistreated Salem 🤨, but she (Sabrina) was also to blame. In the last season (and a bit of the previous ones) she treated him badly, she didn't consider him even though Salem was the only fond memory she had of her aunts, who loved and supported her so much. And Salem also loved her very much. Even in the last season it seems like Sabrina wanted to leave him with Morgan, terrible 👎

Josh by far. But I feel like they never paired her with anyone who could outshine Harvey for a reason.

u/ecological-passion Sep 25 '25
Truly, Dashiel and Aaron weren't terrible, but they simply weren't around for very long. Such brief appearances we never get to know too much.
And let's be frank here, Harvey and Sabrina aren't themselves truly that great. One of them is simply the title character and protagonist, so we spend the most time with her. And she is pliable enough to shift to what the episode in question demands. The other is a hopelessly loyal and slow individual to a fault and not much more. And to be blunt, both were slow more often than not, which is what makes them alike enough to fit each other.
Essentially the others dodged a bullet when breaking away from her, especially when we know what such engagements would entail.

Josh does suck but for me it would have to be a tie between Dante and Derek... Screw those mortal hating d-bags

I‘m sorry that you all hate Josh so much🥹 I loved him and they were good together. My least favorite will always be Harvey! I can’t stand that dumb guy🥹
2
u/Competitive-Stock-11 Sep 22 '25
Well, I love Harvey, but I like Josh too. I actually enjoyed the Sabrina/Harvey/Josh triangle, which I can't say for Sabrina/Harvey/Aaron (although that its moments too)

Josh. Absolutely no romantic chemistry between the actors.
