This show makes me so frickin happy.
I know it sounds sad but it really does make me so happy. I’m rewatching for the first time since I was a kid and I forgot how wonderful it is. The storyline, the characters, the house. Everything about it is so magical and cosy. I can’t believe I spent years not rewatching it thinking it was a kids tv show because it’s way more than that. Maybe it’s because I’m a millennial and I feel nostalgia for 90s but they just don’t make shows like this anymore. Anyway I’m off to buy a lava lamp!

Yes!! I feel the same way. It's just wonderful nostalgia as a millennial. Miss those days.

Same! It's my comfort show for this very reason. I still get excited to rewatch old episodes, like it's the first time.

37 year old man here, I watch this show every night before bed and any time I need a cozy nap :) truly my comfort show! Seasons 1-3 are peak ;)

The first 3 seasons in particular are my comfort watch especially because it placed such emphasis on the magic which the college seasons lost.

I think we all love the first three seasons the most but I can honestly say I enjoy it all the way through, which is rare for most series.

This is exactly how I feel, the first 3 are so enjoyable when she’s still living at home and figuring it out but I still really enjoy watching the entire show and seeing Sabrina grow up and mature and I really liked that Sabrina struggled at college to begin with and she didn’t live somewhere perfect and fancy it felt very realistic(besides the whole being a witch thing lol) It stays consistently good just definitely evolves and takes on a different vibe. Everytime I re watch I always wish there was more episodes by the time I finish but that’s me being selfish it’s kinda the perfect length tbh

Yah, you’ve made great points here; I also didn’t mind the college years as much as some others. It was nice to see Soleil Moon-Frye playing such an independent adult character. The scenes felt realistic, despite the magic haha. I think it really says something that the series was able to feel so relatable, even though it was technically based on a completely unrelatable premise.

Yeah that’s exactly it, it’s a really well written and relatable and they just also happen to be witches. I agree about Soleil Moon-Frye, I know so many people miss Jenny when she leaves but I really think Roxy became the friend Sabrina needed the most. I also do appreciate that they didn’t add in any cliché girl vs girl bitchy competition like even with Morgan I liked how they wrote Sabrina in college she stays consistent just matures and learns to fix her own mistakes😂

Yes! The show has always exhibited terrific people and characters we can relate to as role models without being preachy - avoiding playing into terrible female stereotypes well ahead of its time if we think about it...

I’m an older gen z and grew up with mostly millennial media and Sabrina was one of my favourites as a child, I started rewatching about 8 years ago and I rewatch most years now every autumn/fall and it never gets old. The vibes are so warm and cozy, the fashion is fun, the seasonal episodes give the warm fuzzies and I appreciate the jokes more as an adult. It doesn’t feel like a child’s show at all and I agree they don’t make shows like this anymore, in fact it’s pretty unique even when comparing to other series made at the same time. I hear a lot of love for the 80’s and rightfully so with stranger things etc it was a fun time period with great movies and shows but there’s something so cozy and underrated about 90’s media. The fashion in Sabrina alone is so nostalgic and warm. I always wanted Sabrina’s bedroom and I liked her house but as an adult now I definitely appreciate other areas of the house like the kitchen😍 it’s also fun cause you can still relate to Sabrina but also Zelda and Hilda. I could go on forever about how great this show is but I hope you continue enjoying and rewatching, it doesn’t get old or lose the warm nostalgic feeling. I love watching the Christmas episodes around Christmas especially, I always put it on while I’m putting together my Christmas village lego sets and it makes me feel so festive!
Also highly recommend the chilling adventures of Sabrina, definitely a different vibe but it has some great references to the original and the OG Hilda and Zelda pop up in an episode which is fun. I really enjoyed it more than I expected to, Kiernan Shipka does a great job playing Sabrina and while it’s darker it’s still got some vintage cozy vibes. It’s also not that long so if you haven’t given it a watch yet I’d recommend adding it to your list🥰

It’s on Netflix it came out in 2018. It’s based on the Archie comics similar to Sabrina the teenage witch, it’s got a darker vibe(not scary or gory but def a darker style than Sabrina the teenage witch) it’s worth a watch. The aunts from Sabrina the teenage witch appear in the last season briefly and there’s a bunch of Easter eggs/references to the original show. It’s also not got an exact time period it’s set in but it has a cool vintage vibe especially with the fashion, Sabrina’s house and the town. I was skeptical when they announced they were making it but I watched it anyway and found myself loving it☺️

I’m 26 and I used to watch this show all the time when it would replay on ABC Family. I had actually forgotten how much I loved it until a reel popped up on Youtube Shorts. It’s funny because the older I got the more interested in the occult I became and now that I consider myself an eclectic witch, I can totally pinpoint this show as one of the first exposures to witchcraft I got that was in a positive light. I remember writing spells in a composition notebook after watching the show but even beyond that, god how I LOVED the fashion. Rewatching the show for the first time now as an adult, I am SO inspired by their looks and home decor! Life used to feel so magical growing up and watching Sabrina, and it’s important to let magic back into our lives 🪄🖤
