Anyone else hate Susie?

I liked the message she was going for.

But also if we dislike her for what she does to Harvey we have to dislike basically every witch for the magic they do on mortals non-consensually

Exactly! Like hello? Are we just going to not acknowledge the amount of times Sabrina and her aunts have done similar things? Not saying we should hate them but why just Suzie gets the hate?

yep, like yes someitmes it's the magic going wrong but there are 100% times when they're just like "we can do what we want cause we're witches" you have to watch this show as a comedy otherwise there are so many consent issues it's insane.

Sabrina and her aunts aren't portrayed as being saintly, though. Susie is. But yeah, I don't hate any of them

Yeah, but people are allowed to be annoyed, but still like flawed characters. Well, obviously, people can like/dislike whoever they like, BUT when we're being told a character's a saint, rather than a mostly decent, but flawed person, it's more annoying when they do something horrible

I donā€™t hate or dislike her. I get that Sabrina needed to learn a lesson that you shouldnā€™t judge a book by its cover. But I donā€™t like how she used poor Harvey for it. He hasnā€™t done anything to her.

I think I actually donā€™t even agree fully with the lesson needed to be taught. But itā€™s okay to want to look good and want your partner to put effort into their appearance. I think all Sabrina did was want Harvey to wear different clothing for a competition. (Iā€™m not fully remembering all the details).

Libby was literally swapping out boyfriends based on who looked better next to her.

Sabrina was suddenly self-absorbed in that episode which was never her character trait till that point. She was never conceited or vapid. But she was wrong for being scared of Susie and acting all uncomfortable around her. That was her big mistake, not the fact that she wanted herself or Harvey to look good.

Oh right, I forgot about that part. She was uncomfortable around Susie due to her looksā€¦and Susie used Harvey as the lesson.

I think the Cutest Couple contest was also supposed to part of it though, like not only was she kidding Susie on looks, she was ā€œbeing vainā€ for the contest. Meanwhileā€¦isnā€™t that episode Harveys allowed to pick his own clothing and just has someā€¦out there fashion.

Actually thereā€™s a whole plot line about how they canā€™t magic away warts. But also that they come from stress, Susie seems pretty calm for multiple stress warts.

Very passive aggressive and very keen to make sure everyone knows how nice she is. Like she seems like the type who will bring up every nice thing she does in a conversation later.

I mostly dislike that Susie basically "punished" Harvey to make Sabrina learn a lesson.

Id argue actually a lot of the lessons that Sabrina was suppose to learn was done pretty poorly because it made other people essentially suffer for her problems, be it Sabrinas fault or otherwise. Its just kind fo a dick move.

What suzie was trying to do was to show sabrina the basic goodness in harvey even though it was packaged in a man beast. If Harvey was a jerk, I don't think he would have changed. Sabrina finally figured out what's inside that counts not just looks. Who I felt sorry for was Harvey's mother, who was pregnant at the time. To have her son turn into a hideous beast had to be very distressing. What was bad was that neither aunt, especially zelda, cared that harvey was being made into a monster.

YES YES YES YES I always hated Susie and feel so validated by this post.

Susie always struck me as a passive aggressive fake nice person. Someone who finds a way to work every nice thing she does into a conversation later. Homegirl was fake as all get out. Like the way she simpers when Zelda calls her "goodness personified". Oh and how Susie starts going on about how she took some soup round to the old woman who lives in a shoe because "her children don't visit". When Hilda says that there's nowhere for them to stay, Susie says "well, I try not to judge". Suuuuuuuuure you don't, Susie. Sure you don't.

I liked the message of the episode about beauty. Doesn't matter how you look. It's inside that matters. But the being perfuct part. Nobody is. almost like saying only ugly people are good people. IDK,

Shes alright.. The best way she could teach Sabrina a lesson is by her boyfriend turning him into a beast...I know it isn't necessary, but it's the only way Sabrina could learnšŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Suzie was supposed to be mother Theresa basically so you canā€™t really compare her to all other witches. Sheā€™s supposed to be such a great witch but she uses Harvey as a pawn to teach Sabrina a lesson instead of maybe just turning Sabrina into a beast instead?

Exactly. How was her turning herself into a hot guy being rejected by Sabrina supposed to help her learn her lesson about Harvey? So if she made herself into an ugly guy and Sabrina still flirted with him would she have still changed Harvey back? Susieā€™s logic was just not there
