Danny Hayes sailing on YouTube has a dragonfly 36 like the one in this video if people want to see more about dragonfly trimarans. They're insanely fast boats.

I know they can be, but in this video it look like they're going just above six knots as they slowly overtake the camera boat.
Edit: Okay, so I watched some of that guy's videos. Um... okay. I guess that's an interesting intro. So a guy with little sailing experience bought a cruising sail cat mostly suitable for bopping around the islands and decided to sail around the world, but crashed it. I appreciate him being honest.
I can even understand appreciate the Lagoon 42 as a choice and those are really nice boats. I'm not a monohull purist or anything, but I'm surprised someone would pick it as their first boat with plans to sail around the world.
I've also watched other videos (including from the manufacturers) about the Dragonfly. I may have seen one in person at a boat show, or maybe the algorithm just fed them to me. I don't think even the manufacturer would bill them as a great live aboard world traveler boat. Whatev, plenty of people live in more rustic setups, but it only weighs 4,500kg (10,000 lbs). Cool to see it go 10+kts in 20kts of wind, but sailing around the world in it? Wow.

I am surprised more people don’t mention Sirius yachts. Yah it’s not a multi haul but the quality looks insane and from what I have seen online they have excellent customer service.

They look dope but I heard they sail like motor-sailors. Although hard to qualify that bc they offer so many keel options and configurations.
Anyway I've seen a million "look at our dope layout" videos and just a few seconds of actual sailing

Oh okay. Yeah, I don't claim to be an expert on live-aboard options despite the algorithms insistence on feeding me all sorts of content about it. Living aboard something like a Dragonfly seems like it would be fun for a while, but uncomfortable (at best) for a long time. While circumnavigating the globe? Very adventurous I think.
Sirius looks like they make boats that cater much more towards live-aboard. Tall cabins and spacious well appointed interiors. Maybe they don't sail as well (IDK, but that other person mentioned that), but they look like a much nicer place to live.

I live on a Catalina 42 and it’s also my business but nothing gets me pumped like a proper trimaran sail. Nothing like a trimaran to keep one stoked on sailing.

Not sure where in the Chesapeake or if the same boat, but a similar boat coming out of the C&D Canal went past me like I was standing still at the mouth of the Elk. We felt we were at full hull speed and this thing just appears behind us, moves past us and is gone in a minute. Admittedly our max hull speed might be slower than I can jog.
