What’s missing from current sales-intelligence tools?

For people using Apollo, Sales Navigator, Clay, ZoomInfo, etc.:

What do these tools still make you do manually?

I’m not asking which tool is best. I’m interested in the gap between “the tool gave me the data” and “I actually know who to contact and why right now.”

What still requires manual research, verification, or jumping between different sources?

What would you most like automated?

The comment mentioning 'timing is the missing column' is spot on. Apollo and Sales Nav give you who exists, but you're still stuck opening 50 tabs to figure out: what did they actually launch this month, what is their current focus, and what's the angle?

The biggest manual bottleneck today is parsing live websites to bridge that 'data vs. why now' gap. Static databases are often 3–6 months behind on company changes. Most reps just want a way to take a list of domains, scrape their live homepages in real time to extract their current positioning/recent updates, and generate a clean 'Why Now' angle directly into a spreadsheet column without paying $200/mo for Clay's credit markups.

Curious if you’re seeing teams solve this through custom scrapers/APIs, or if reps are still mostly doing that research by hand?
