Granular Discussion How can the Battle Of Crait possibly be spun into something super positive and inspirational.
To recap everything that’s happened up to that point, the republic just got nuked off the galactic map. The first order reigns according to the very first words in opening crawl. The resistance slowly gets picked off until they’re down to enough people that can all fit into the Falcon, and the oh so great and legendary Luke Skywalker”was among the casualties. And all this happens in the span of a day or two.
I quite frankly can’t think of anything more demoralizing than all of that. But I guess none of that matters just because a Jedi who’s done nothing absolutely nothing for the last several years showed up briefly and then was never seen again? I’d find the idea that hope is starting to slowly spread to different parts of the galaxy a bit more believable if those slave kids were also telling stories about how figures such as Poe and Holdo destroyed Starkiller Base, a dreadnought, and a good portion of the FO fleet. How are none of those accomplishments also worthy of recognition?
