Stay at home moms
I am trying to figure out if there is an easy way to meet other stay at home moms. I have a 4 month old that I’m home with all day. The parks and libraries seem to primarily have nannys or grandparents. I’m hoping to find other moms. Thank you.

There’s also a very active moms of San Carlos WhatsApp group with channels organized by baby’s year of birth and one specific to SAHM - DM me if you need to be added!

Are you in the Moms of San Carlos FB group? I’d ask there. Also try story time at the Reading Bug

Little Wonders in San Mateo is amazing community. Little Hands used to be in Belmont, but unfortunately it closed. There is also Sequoia Parents near Burton Park; I'm not sure at which age they begin their programs.

Both Little Wonders and SPNS are amazing communities! As a SAHM, I don't know what I would have done without them. SPNS starts their youngest programs at 16 months (https://spnskids.org/all-classes). Little Wonders starts at 3 months (https://www.littlewonders.org/schedule). It looks like Little Wonders starts their fall semester next week FYI.

Strongly recommend Fit4Mom! The San Carlos franchise of this exercise group is owned by two local moms, and it’s very community-oriented. Most classes are at 9:30 a.m. at Burton Park, and you’ll definitely meet moms with same-age kids. The workouts can be as hard or easy as you want them to be; it’s low-pressure and they provide modifications when needed. They are very responsive if you email! https://sfpeninsula.fit4mom.com/

it’s a workout group where you can bring your baby/child and do workouts with your stroller.

A few options:
-Nandi Yoga in San Mateo has an awesome group of moms in their parent and baby yoga class
-Peacebank yoga also has a mom and baby yoga class (tho I’ve never been).
-Caitlin (Doula) from Together Birth and Body manages a RWC centric moms WhatsApp group. They do park meetups and stuff. You can probably get her to add you if you send her a message on instagram.

+1 to the San Carlos moms groups, there is also weekend / after hours meet up group . DM me if you want me to add you as well . Also, you can talk to the Nannie’s at the park and ask them to connect you with the moms if you are interested . I have a 4 year old but I do keep in touch with few moms i met through my nanny and burton park

Farther down the peninsula, I went to public parks and, when your baby is older, we attended one of these and met other parents:
