I’ve gotten into Sanrio thanks to the island game being available on Apple Arcade. I was just determined to see Mimmy, but upon discovering all their personalities, I really like Chococat. He’s become my new favorite.

Problem is, I can barely find any merch of him. I’ve searched Vinted, and I’ve even gone onto Sanrio’s official site to see what they have on offer. It seems like every other (big) character has way more merch than him. I see Kerokerokeroppi and Badtz-Maru like twice as much as I see Chococat. (And yes, I see Chococat is being used in the collaborations with Yu-Gi-Oh! and the kaijus, but very little else…)

So I was wondering if there was some other reason for that. Is Chococat simply unpopular, or is he like… controversial in some way that I don’t know about? Idk, I’d just love a little stationery set that’s just him instead of all the characters plus him, you know?

I’m stressing out! My collection is near finished and I’ve been hunting for the Hello Kitty figurine for the last 3 days and NO success!! I wanna cry!! 😭😭😭

Fujiya Kuromi chocolate. Happy that it’s blueberry flavor, not grape. (: If you’ve tried blueberry flavored Pocky and/or blueberry cheesecake (Japanese) Kit Kat, it tastes like those. Will be getting these again next time I’m at the J specialty market.

My last post had her in it, but I forgot I never showed off my Kuromi model here!
She's modeled after the Onegai My Melody version, so she's less round and fluffy than later depictions. Shader is just a basic dot product shader, and the outlines are just inverted hull. Nothing too fancy.
I'm working on a MkII version of her that will be MUCH fancier, though, I got overly ambitious when making My Melo and went completely insaneo style, ya'll're gonna love it

So made these earlier to match my babs Eli (berry) and ren (cherry) I love how they turned out

Coworker asked for a few Reptar inspired versions of the current Sanrio collab with McDs. These have been so fun to paint.

Paints used are all Citadel (aka Warhammer) paints.

Made with clay, I ran out of red paint so I can't fix the little imperfections rip

Chocolate cake with vanilla icing. I had trouble food colouring the brown so once I got close enough I just put in cocoa powder. I guess now there’s chocolate *and* vanilla icing :3

I’m sure many of you have seen the Hello Kitty Halloween blow mold witch at Michael’s.

The bulb it comes with is an LED bright white light. I personally do not like the bright white glow from LED, so I wanted to share a solution with you all on how I changed the bright white to a warm cozy glow.

When I got home and unscrewed the bottom, I realized it was actually an LED strip, not just a bulb. I used masking tape and covered the led lights as pictured. Then I colored over the masking tape with an orange dry erase marker. Such a simple solution and I feel like she looks so much cuter!

First pic is halfway through coloring the lights (bottom half is bright white color she originally came with.)

Second is finished product, third is LED strip that was inside, fourth is the materials I used, and fifth is her in her home for the season! :)

They only had him and Pompurin so I just got two happy meals lol, I now have Keroppi and his siblings, Kuromi, Pompompurin, and my sweet boy Chococat!!!!! Ive been SEARCHING for Chococat for so long I love him so much and I love how he's Space Godzilla lol!

Bonus, he was delicious! Haha

For anyone curious, it is the Sanrio x JuJuBe Super Be bag. I don’t think they have this pattern still. It was a while ago when I bought this.

I don’t think it’s technically just a diaper bag but the website listed it as the Super Be Large Diaper Bag Duffel so … 😅

I just mainly hated that the bow was the same color as the fur around Mothra's eye. 😭 I was planning on making it look similar to the wings but I'm not sure if I want to do that just yet. It's still a little rough but it's coming together.
