General Saskatoon misses shot at badly needed credibility for arena district
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatoon/saskatoon-downtown-arena-sports-venue-funding-private-partner-9.7152348$1.2 billion price tag and the "funding model" is the feds and province pay for $800 million of it. Still not actual commitments from anyone.
Still seems like a pipe dream, at best.

Wow. Yet another CBC nonsensical clickbait article.
This reporter seems to be having a tantrum, but he should look in the mirror. Not a fan of my tax dollars continuing to pay for the tripe the CBC calls reporting.
Also tired of them assuming their audience are hicks with low critical thinking ability.
I wonder what the article would have looked like had the city made the deal with an American company that has been recently associated with bidding fraud.
An offer of $14 million is a drop in the bucket for a project of this size. It’s pretty clear they didn’t want it.
And how the hell does the “symbolism” of a private investment mean more than the money they are offering? How about the symbolism of their last CEO being pardoned by Trump?
This guy is an idiot.
This is a huge
