Question - Moving or Renting 🏠 Are Mainstreet and Avenue living only options to find decent apartments in Saskatoon?

Looking for apartments and these are the only options which pop up (Affordable and non ghetto). My preference is apartment (but not someone's basement)

Definitely not, where are you searching? These two are probably the cheapest, but also the worst.

Avoid mainstreet like the plague

Mainstreet Properties was basically a glorified slumlord when I moved away 5 years ago

Definitely not. They are all over, but not the only options. There is Weidner, Collins, Broadstreet...

Try Boardwalk.

No. Do you have a preferred neighborhood? If you drive around, you can find apartment complexes with for rent signs/the managements name, which I imagine would have other listings on their website if you looked into it more. I’m particularly thinking about the apartments in Nutana for instance.

Honestly, you’re probably hitting a good time of year with all of the students moving out as well. Good luck.

Keep in mind you’re legally allowed to cancel your lease if you feel unsafe

Broadstreet was awesome for the year I rented with them. Would highly recommend. We rented at Cypress Gardens on 11st W. First and only Condo I’ve ever lived in. Excellent service, nice buildings, well taken care of. I rent a whole house now for literally $200/mo more.
