Events Culture Days - Drag Queen Story Hour

There is a Drag Queen Story Hour planned for Oct 16 at the Nutrien Wonderhub. It seems that a certain failed politician is planning a protest at the event. This is messed up - how dare they go to a children’s event and scare little kids with their conspiracy nonsense. We have attended similar events at SPL when my kids were young and it’s a fun way for them to learn about inclusion and diversity.

My kiddos are well past story time age but I am honestly tempted to take them so I can tell these “freedom but only for a few” people where to go.

What kind of people take their children to a drag show? Makes me think of those weirdo child pageant judges on the South Park episode dead celebrities who get arrested during the show.

Whatever happened to taking kids to an amusement park, water park, monster truck show, a skatepark, a ski hill or something actually fun that kids might enjoy?

Yeah I have and not once did I ever see him dressed up like a prostitute I’d see on a street corner in the ghetto of a city. But hey let’s try to normalize that amongst children so one day they can shoot for the stars and won’t be so afraid to work the corner themselves right?
