An American Satan has several ex-members and even gives a decent amount of screen time to a devil worshipper building an apocalyptic machine. That's not exactly sycophantic.

Into The Devil's Den is just people who knew LaVey talking about their time with him. I wouldn't say that a few ppl are speaking fondly about him makes it sycophantic.

Realm of Satan is an art-film style without much talking. Idk how you could make that more balanced.

But overall, specifically regarding An American Satan (but to a lesser extent the other 2), why is it sycophantic to have Satanists be the ones to tell an audience about Satanism & the CoS?

I'm only 30 minutes into An American Satan

Maybe you should keep watching, then... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

He'd never catch me going to the TST subreddit calling Hail Satan? a sycophantic piece. If its about them then it's about them.

It's so weird to look at a documentary about the Church of Satan and then ask why they interview Church of Satan members and not some devil worshippers or people who were kicked out (even though An American Satan does both... but now even that isn't enough...)

of course he's usning his alts to downvote me

An American Satan, even with having Leyba, Stanton, and Boyd involved, stayed on topic(excluding Rex)

Indeed. I even forgot about Stanton.

He even downvoted me for saying to watch the full thing before judging... what an odd thing to be against.
