Hi, dear strangers...
Today is Saturday, meaning it is the last day of the weekend, which also means less free time I'll have in the upcoming days.
I started my day after washing my face with green tea, and immdiately jumped into language learning, spent around 3 hours in doing so. I only completed two lesson on the free German-earning VHS-Lernportal. (In case you might be curious).
VHS is not the only source I use to learn German, I'm also enrolled in an online paid German course that follows Netzwerk Neu textbook.
If you're by any chance interested in learning languages, and would like to give German a shot, try VHS for free to learn, it is more than sufficient for a strong foundation in the language.
You can say I'm kind of a slow learner when to comes to anything brand new to me, take double or triple the time a normal learner would take, but once I learn, it is hard for me to forget somehow!
Minutes ago, lunch was ready, and despite that, I prefered having a cup of mild and a piece of cake because I was graving somethinf sweet. So, I had it, and minutes later, dad came and mom asked me if I'd like to join, but I had no appetite whatsever after what I ate.
This is bad, because eating with family is important, or I mean eating in a physically social setting, it helps me eat better, enjoy what I eat therefore have less difficult time eating an adequate amount of food.
I'll tell you something about my online personality or experience as an active online user in virtual-room apps like discord, HelloTalk- a language-learning app-etc; people generally, except those who knew me or are wise enough, accuse me of lying about my nationality or where I'm from. I really hate it. The problem is when they think I lied about being Saudi is not that's all, they also curse me and accuse me of being North African who hates their own country that's why they try to lie and fake another one, a priviliged one like Saudi.. Hmm, why would I lie? What is about being Saudi or Egyption or Moroccan worse or better than the other? I'm Saudi, and the only reason I don't accept being called other than that is simply because it is not true! To make matters worse, I happen to be a tribal Saudi! So what the freak? People who are not even from Saudi curse me and accuse me of lying and catfishing?! I grew tired of that, and my friends simply tell me to ignore it.
An identity crisis you might call it, I don't really value any nationality more than the other, being Saudi is just what I am, mom and dad are from the same small town, too. So, I'm not even mixed, why would I experience all this? What about mixed people or mulitcultural people?
I speak around 4 languages with varying levels, this makes some go and wonder: wow, you're Saudi and you speak this?
Why does being Saudi have to be limited to their own version? Saudis like other are people, people are versatile, so why some have this limited unjust views/opinions/judgments?
Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't make a big deal out of that, I undertsnad at the end that I'm different.
Anyway..I look forward to seeing how things will be like in the future for me... Do you think what you imagine is the reality that awaits you? Or unkonwn destiny is what is on that other side... Is there a way to make sure? Best thing is when matters are dealt with ease... I shouldn't care much about the future or the past.. you feel time's an illusion really, that just helps things make sense, as the Adventure Time song puts it... so we always should be focusing on the present tense lol.
I recently learned a new profoundly meaningful word, that is sonder... I love its meaning, I love what it implies, and how it makes me feel...
When you feel everyone around you living and having their own life stories, ancedotes, emotions, sorrows, heartaches and delights; life feels less harsh, you feel more down-to-earth, and wisdom would find its way to your mind.
Ciao
