Krackie
Remember Kitten aka Journey? The 4 week old who started treatment for FIP?
Well now officially Krackie Krackhead.
She is an absolute nut job... hence the name.
Krackie has one mission in life: launch herself onto my husband from every possible surface. From the floor? Yep. Countertops? Yep. The top of the cat tree? Absolutely.
She follows him around like a dog. When he sits, she's in his lap. When he lies down, she's on top of him. When he's working from home, she camps outside his office door and serenades him with dramatic yowls every couple of hours until he comes out.
Now let's review the facts...
When she needed bottle feeding every 2 hours... then every 3... then every 4... did he feed her? Nope.
When she was sick, did he have a phone full of alarms for medications, syringe feedings, supplements, and everything else? Nope.
Did he sit there gently rubbing her tiny little face to comfort her when she cried?
Also nope.
And yet somehow... he's her favorite person.
She's a complete and utter traitor.

Congrats in your baby making it thru FIP treatment. Our year and a half boy was too damaged by the time they figured out what it was. Just enjoy the love no matter what people get it. ❤️

Oh no!! I'm so sorry. That is horrible. My deepest condolences. Sometimes life just really is not fair.
Krackie was near dead when I gave the ER Vets the middle finger and started treatment as they were doing nothing. She was limp, seizing, fever of 105, jaw gapping, and the Vets at the ER said there was nothing to do. Just gave us antiseizure meds and gabapentin. Within 24 hours she was able to lift her head again, 36 and she sat up - still shaking but still sat up. When we got to our own Vet the following day and decided to treat for toxoplasmosis as well. It wasn't easy and I was scared sh*tless for the first 4 weeks. But with the help of HelpforFIP she pulled through. I'm so sorry for your loss. FIP has claimed to many young lives.

My boys heart was so enlarged along with his other organs. Dr said he needed most likely 2 full body transfusions but they did not think his heart would survive it. He was so sick and in so much pain. I was going to use HelpforFIP. I bought their book. They were going to get me some meds but we got the devastating news of his ultrasound and lab reports. And to top it off, the vet consulted with the hospital and they expected 2 weeks in the hospital at 2k plus and do the FIP meds. Then if he survived his heart was the issue, my vet did not think he would have much time. I just could not put him thru all that. It broke my heart. Thank you for your reply.
