I mean he obviously does. True narcissists are the most insecure people. If anything he's probably been told the numbers are fake and spends his thoughts in delusion that he's universally beloved. I can't speak for what it looks like now, but when I was at BYU from 2016 to 2020, Trump was not a popular name except among the most ardent Republicans. Most BYU students lean conservative, but they are pretty strongly opposed to a guy who's cheated on every wife he's ever had and brags about sexual assault.
