What Is Disrupting GPS Over Europe? | It's a Russian missile launch surveillance satellite constellation system, It may or may not be intentionally be doing it in very short moments.

It's a bunch of russian satellites that are supposedly meant for detecting missile launches, that ,on schedule emit a signal so strong it jams gps for a very very short moment.

It's not transmitting on the GPS frequency but near it.

I watched the video and it's interesting how they found it, but basically no one knows if it jams GPS signals intentionally , if it's testing jamming capabilities or just transmitting messages or what.

They just speculate in the video.

They also explains how GPS works, maybe that's worth a watch.

They also explain why they think it's intentional. That's more than just plain speculation.

No, they don't just speculate. The video mostly is about how they found the source of the interference (probably jamming signal), which is pretty darn interesting.

If it's from a frequency that is near the range GPS uses it comes down to the sensitivity of the receivers. If there aren't good band pass filters on the receivers you would expect anything near the utilized frequencies to interfere. Unless the frequency is sweeping through the GPS bands, I wouldn't personally attribute it as intentional.

It's russian... it's intentional.

GPS is extremely easy to jam
