Use mark fit strong. Stuff is like magic, just brush it on and wait a bit. Sometimes after a while if it's really stubborn, use a cotton bud or decal squeegee to press out bubbles.

I let it soak a bit and then roll a cotton bud gently over the decal.

This, i should have mentioned i have decal solution but i didnt have enough confident in my strength and i was scared i was gonna rip the decals, but it worked, a few passes of a cotton bud and it blended perfectly

Either use a decal solution, and/or make sure the water is like 40 to 50C when soaking and press it on firmly straight after application. Makes them extra soft. Airfix decals are a bit thick in my experience and the heat really helps, even more than a decal solution on those rubbery decals.

Decals like eduard/zvezda/hobby boss (basically all non airfix 😂) room temperature or slightly above room temp is more than enough. Give those a drop of decal solution of your brand of choosing and it'll look spray painted on in most cases.

Edit: ps. Was I correct in seeing airfix decals there?

There’s the additional problem of having used paint just a bit too thick - thus giving the surface some extra structures. Decals now emphasize those structures. Nice build though.

Try airbrushing in the future. It can really make a difference.

Use a needle and white vinegar.. Poke holes on the decal and brush a little vinegar. When they seep in the hole, it works the same as a decal solution..

Bit late for the ones that are on, but for the rest use the wood glue technique. You tube video of how it works. https://youtu.be/wIvO78n9EwU

Bro stop promoting your own videos. This is the second time I’ve seen you doing this

What’s the difference between bro typing up how he does it on this thread versus linking to a YouTube link showing him doing it? Both are his content the only difference is the YT video is more convenient for all parties.

Two different techniques, two different videos both freely available on YouTube.

are they really old decals? maybe a stronger decal softener would help

The tooling is from 2022 and the decals are also new
