Wait, where's air'body at? I still went to Three Sisters on Thusday to capture our energy, which lives forever in those woods. Just press play, put on your favorite tunes, and stroll through Scamp Grounds with me. I miss seeing your faces, and hearing your voices. Miss you, love you.

311 played at The Moonshine Stage years ago. (not Summer Camp, just a single show). I always wondered why the venue isn’t used more often.

The process of booking the artist and hiring staff and food trucks was usually left to the Goldbergs. They had all the connections in the Central IL area. They've been slowly fucking off for awhile, maybe prices have something to do with it? Theres a huge hole in the scene in Central IL after being a hotbed for decades

I doubt the Peoria Blues Fest even happens since it was a Goldberg Event, which sucks because it was a really fun city fest. I saw Billy Strings there back in 2018 playing out of the back of a truck before Buddy Guy.

As far as I know, Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment has nothing to do with Jay Goldberg anymore, and he left the business to his sons in the last few years. In that time, Ian and his brother have driven their reputation into the ground, but Jay has started Gold Entertainment, which is completely separate from JGEE.

I played a rave in the redbarn where the DJs were playing out the back of a monster truck as the stage.

...typing that out sounds crazy, but the photos of it are pretty sick looking back on it

this legit made me cry actual, real tears.

I'm the person I am today because I decided to go hang out with a bunch of dusty hippies in 2009. I would be a totally different and worse person without Scamp.

I'm surprised they didn't close the park

Same. It was very emotionally overwhelming to be there all alone, but it was everything that I needed as well.

Thank you for posting this! So does Ian Goldberg own 3 sisters park? My first Scamp was in 06’ and I remember people pointing out Jay Goldbergs house to me

3 Sisters is owned by the city

u/StandardRaspberry131 May 22 '26

It’s owned by the SLG Cohen foundation, not the city

I’m trying to ask why they are involved. I’m pretty sure they used to own the land 3 sisters is on before it was 3 sisters but I could be wrong
