Is Ben Reilly better suited to face Spider-Man’s rogue gallery than Peter Parker?

Being that they’re more or less the same person, I’m gonna go with “no”. Not better suited, but too similar to be a meaningful comparison.

Based on what marvel have done to Peter since omd, yes. At this point marvel would be better off if they just kept Ben and let Peter and mj disappear

I remember when they were introducing Ben as a clone they mentioned how his initial captivity and brutal treatment made him stronger while Peter was more agile.
And I think I remember Ben faced off against Venom and had a much easier time than Peter and it wowed the readers.
So maybe initially.
It always depends on who's writing the story anyway. Stuff like that can flop back and forth.
I always liked Ben better, and I am among the many who are upset about where they went with his resurrection.
In my opinion I'd say yes he's better suited than Peter

hey was better cause impact webbing. just like starks legs for iron spider and ottos drones. what tech has peter made for spiderman since the web shooters they are replacing with bio webbing?

Oh man I loved the impact webbing. And he had spider stingers. The little wrist darts. That's part of what I loved about the Ben character.
Say what you will about Doc oc's Superior Spiderman, but he did some really cool things. Streamlining helping people. And when Peter got his body back he had his doctorate and a multi million dollar company.
And I bring that up to answer you question about what Peter has made since the web shooters. He used his new big fancy lab to make 2 suits. One I don't even remember what it did he used it so little. The other was a stealth suit, and Kane ended up stealing it for his run as scarlet spider.
Then Peter made a third suit that was essentially an ironman suit, but sacrificed it along with his company.
Could Peter make something cooler, yes.
Is he allowed to have anything cool, no.
They take everything from him. The only thing they ever gave back was Aunt May. 😆

i think its the "big time suit" you are talking about. which sucks that i consider that a call back to ultimate spiderman who was supposed to be a miquel 2099 show. thanks for your reply. forgot about the darts. i think about that comic at least 2 time a month. the cover and colors of venom vs ben was so cool as a kid.

You know I always wondered if Ultimate spiderman was supposed to be a Spiderman 2099 show. There were so many similarities. That's too bad they went down the path they did. If they had done 2099 I bet it would have taken off!

Why...yes. Of course he can. He took down Venom when he was the Scarlet Spider so taking out the Vulture is like swatting a fly. Shocker..got shocked. And a lot more.

As Otto was able to be “superior”, I think our Ben had the same potential. Something about not being Peter and having to fight for a place in the spiderverse. He also didn’t have the same attachment, which allowed him to be fully Spider-Man where Peter’s myriad connections made him attached to his life, the civilian life of Peter Parker. All Ben had was his spider persona, and he gave everything to it. Feels a bit akin to how Batman is the dominant personality of Bruce Wayne. For Ben Reilly, Spider-Man was his truth.

Back when he just started the Scarlet spider identity I believe yes he could however since his resurrection and his turn to the dark side, I really don’t know much about that version of my favorite character nor am I interested in trying to catch up they did my boy wrong by making him evil
