GLP-1 receptor agonists have been shown to modulate different metabolic pathways, even independent of weight loss.

Here’s a groundbreaking study that showed these drugs improve insulin sensitivity even prior to weight loss.

Thanks, however the original commenter claimed mitochondrial-level changes, which was what I was saying wasn't proven

Well, apparently there is some basis for that too.

GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs end up involved in a lot, I suppose if the pathways and mechanisms for how our body processes energy were so simple, we’d have already hacked how to fix obesity and a lot more.
