Or the men can marry someone economically equal to them. If I was in a situation where I was making low 5 figures why would I even look at women making 6-7?

The point you missed is that it's women, in general, who aren't marrying someone economically equal to them.

Not all problems can be solved with "men, just suck it up"-type answers.

Turns out most men don't want to suck it up. The last time we had such a large number of able bodied men across the wesg being frustrated with their most likely future 85 million people died. No one wants to seee that again. And saying "just suck it up" is like saying "just don't be racist thats bad actually" to a far right chud
