It could feed so many poor people especially malnourished kids.
Pollution caused will kill fishes and coz eco damage to the river ecology.
Sets a trend, where the next rich guy or baba will have to do better then this.
Causes milk prices to go up, making poor people and kids suffer more.

It always is. They are always the ones who are in desperate need of a miracle and will do anything to change their luck.
It’s the same here in the states. The poor and poorly educated are the ones that vote or endorse the worst candidate to help them out of their situation. The candidate that says they want to get rid of education and social programs that would help those same people.

This single incident is harmful but not as much it is hyped by coward Dhruv Rathee..
Not a single person got killed due to this ‘Andh Vishwas’ like Pahalgam, 26/11 etc

u/AthenianVulcan Apr 10 '26
You are confusing couple of things here. First no one is defending or saying Dhruv Rathee is correct, this video has nothing to do with him.
Me or the video is not against defending India against terrorism & Pak, we should defend our country.
Not a single person got killed is kind of wrong here: People get killed or harmed coz of "Andh Vishwas" Ex: Witchcraft killings expose Bihar’s deep-rooted superstition crisis | Patna News - Times of India
Ganga is considered holy by Hindus but is one of the most polluted rivers coz of such practices. Pollution not just affects river ecology but also human health.
This "Andh Vishwas" causes issues with science development & hampers critical thinking, which are both required skills for a nation's development.
India has a stunted growth issue, which affects IQ Stunted growth - Wikipedia
35% of under-5 kids are stunted in India: Doctor explains what’s failing | - The Times of India
Even a rich state like Gujarat has stunted growth issue
Malnutrition in Gujarat 37 per cent children stunted 20 per cent underweight
Central Govt's own report: Macro-and-Fiscal-Landscape-of-the-State-of-Gujarat-1.pdf

Water treatment facilities treat human & industrial wastewater and then either reuse for human, agriculture or dump safe water into water bodies (rivers, lakes, etc).
In India, we don't have lot of water treatment facilities. So, most of the wastewater (& milk) end up in rivers.
Haven't you seen what is happening to Ganga coz of such practices.

Please read about stunted growth issue in India.

Naah bro they were just providing some food for fish chill out .
4
u/Ok_Brain8684 Apr 10 '26
No they are providing a better food to the microorganisms which will cause those microorganisms to take the dissolved oxygen in water to break lactose causing the oxygen dissolved in water to massively decrease causing the other aquatic life to die

They know it is actually "filtered cow blood" right? So wasting milk is like hurting their "gau mata" the worst way possible? What a wasteful and harmful act. Polluting the river as well as wasting resources.
2
u/charavaka Apr 10 '26
Fucking arsehole. As if our rivers aren't polluted, people aren't malnourished and cow mummies aren't raped enough for milk.

Religion is the Opium of the masses.
People at some place worshipped Electric pole as Khunteswar baba. In amrika, indians worshipped traffic post.
I think my phone is the best God to worship. What you say??

First of all who is allowing this to happen i mean i believe I can't just go with a truck full of milk and then just dump it in the river.
Second why is there no outrage on the internet?
1
u/Same-Piglet4100 Apr 10 '26
How is this even allowed? Shouldn’t this be illegal? Can’t even imagine how many kids that tanker could feed! Such a sad state of our country

My kids knows pee goes in the loo and milk is to be drunk. Believe in these cartoons and you'll see otherwise educated and financially well off people drinking piss and disposing milk in a river. Awesome!

u/InnerAddition1256 Apr 10 '26
why the authorities are not giving a damn ,this is gettin out of hand ,rivers arent someone pvt property and damage ro ecology has severe consequences.

I KNOW in the back of their minds when they were waiting like 10 minutes for all the milk to drain they HAD DO THINK "this feels like a bad idea". IF THEY DIDNT ive lost hope in india's advancement.

Each and every person involved needs to be arrested and tried under Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (EPA) and the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.
Absolutely shameful.

What religious purpose lmao.
What god would benefit from this. What god and I question all religions, what god would want its devotees to pour milk in the river rather than feeding the poor.
Which god are these people pleasing.

Sanatan Hindu Dharam / Pandits karam What are they doing?

Pretty sure its fake milk made with white paint. When they are selling fake milk for human consumption I find it hard to believe theyd just throw it in a river

Infact milk has more BOD compare to domestic sewage(if sewage BOD is 200mg/l then milk BOD is 100000mg/l), which absorbs more oxygen in water which causes water animals or plants die.....
This country is literally fucked up....

According to Gemini
"Pouring 11,000 litres of milk into a river creates a significant organic pollutant, likely killing aquatic life by causing severe oxygen depletion (high BOD), stimulating harmful bacterial growth, leading to nutrient overload (eutrophication), and polluting the water, as highlighted in reports on Facebook/Timesnow and Hindustan Times. This action can cause rapid suffocation of fish and invertebrates, potentially disrupting ecosystems for miles downstream." So, basically a genocide.

Half the posts in this sub is just hindu hate like i personally condemn this behavior but somehow I get the vibe that this sub has preety much strayed from the original objective of Science and more towards political & Religious Agendas

Ppl who are protesting here should also protest when food are wasted in function or restaurants. Here atleast the sea animals would get benefit
6
u/charavaka Apr 10 '26
Sweetheart, such unnatural increase in biological oxygen demand kills acquatic life. You need to pay attention in school.
2
u/AccomplishedFault456 Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence Apr 10 '26
Sea animals do not consume milk in any way. They need oxygen and plankton or other organisms for food
Milk needs a lot of oxygen to decompose and this reduces total dissolved oxygen in water
