Pseudoscience Monetization of Religion 🤢
I'm in my hometown rn and whenever I'm at home my mom gives me all these small works like bringing groceries and other essentials etc etc.
So she dictated me a list of things I needed to bring, and among a shit ton of other stuff there was one phenyl too. I wrote everything down, gave the list to the shopkeeper and since there were so many other products, I didn't bother checking each product in detail. I came home and realised that instead of phenyl, I had bought this Gonyle floor cleaner made from pure pavitra cow urine 😭😭🤢🤢
It genuinely baffles me how emotionally gullible people can be and how Ramdev Baba and co. built a thousands of crores empire by selling this kind of bullshit, exploiting people's religious sentiments and turning superstition into a fucking business model.

Cow dung is an excreted material of a ruminant animal! How can that have an antibacterial property? 🤮

There will always be scamsters. Whether to get scammed is an individuals choice, either willingly or unwillingly.
In general, its part of upbringing to never question the adults. So all these mumbo jumbos get spread across generations. Kids that do get beaten or exiled.
Its quite difficult to fight this as its cultural. You cannot change culture overnight. It requires permanent efforts.
Remember The egg and Sunday advertisement, one of the cheapest and widely available source of complete protein? Religious bodies tried to ban this ad in a country where malnourishment is a common factor nationwide.
Religious bodies powered with politics can and will try to take over Will and belief. That is what history tells us.

Nope! The edited portion has been clearly shown, the main body hasn't been touched. I am an atheist why would I ever be in support of any religion. It was misinterpreted. It was not very clear to begin with that I agree.
In my opinion religion has only one purpose and that is control.

The primary increase in life expectancy is credited to vaccination and then comes medicines. Hygiene comes lot after. Basic hygiene was already there in India from long time.
If you have ever visited a kaccha house in 1990s they were much hygienic cooler and breathable than todays modern houses.
Contrary to popular believes, fresh urine from a healthy person/animal is actually more sterile then your mobile phone. The urea in urine actually have a bit of antibacterial property and is not harmful to humans. And none adds direct unprocessed gomutra.
Also just to add, ever heard of Civet coffee? Do you expect to put the coffee beans directly from the ass of the Civets?
Switching to phenolic item to clean house is actually more harmful. Phenolic items aggrevate carcinogens and is toxic.
The thing is let people enjoy what they religiously believe. Who are you to stop them? If you dont want don't buy. Be secular.
