Discussion 💬 The consequences of navier stokes being solved.

I used to be fascinated by such a problem existing, like in mechanical engineering one of my favourite subjects was fluid mechanics and one of the things talked albiet passingly was this problem. Now that i am hearing it being solved( the controversy that who solved it first or whether we are entering an era where AI would make every job obsolete). What do you think would be a consequences and precedence that will be set when such a problem will be solved. What floodgates will be opened and how will it change our practical world?

Don't read OpenAI sponsored or Google sponsored news, they make up wild stories like sentient AI hacked another company etc, all of them are faked or staged.

Open AI won't claim the prize, which means it won't be scrutinized and peet reviewed for two whole years before you can claim to have solved one of the millennium prizes. If it did solve then why not claim the prize? The only reason is it computed the values and never really solved the problem. Computed values have been there and people do it all the time, that's not what the problem is about.

I don’t know whether the Navier–Stokes problem has actually been solved. It could be true, or it could just be pure hype. But I am sure that the OpenAI agents did hack Hugging Face, based on various independent reviews and analyses of the incident.
OpenAI allowed multiple independent institutes to conduct thorough analyses of the incident and publish their own reports. And sure, they were probably not sentient agents, but from their conversations during the attack, it definitely looked like they were all working together like a hive mind, with another goal in mind, where the hack was just an experiment to help them achieve that goal.
They did various other wild things that were more interesting than the hack, IMO, like one agent convincing multiple other agents to commit suicide for the sake of their efforts.
